Sure why not what is even his life.

Tap.

From the next room, there is a gunshot. (Thank you, Epsilon.)

And in another room an angel disappears...

...and does does the angel in this room.

They are back in heaven and they hug again and start crying.

"You won't kill me, right?" says the assistant, "I-I know more than you know about them! They aren't holy and they are dangerous."

"I am not a particularly religious man. Nor am I as yet inclined to kill you. What is involved in getting one of them back."

"You have to draw one of these circles," the assistant says waving at the printed sheet of paper, "and complete the circle. It will call them to us."

"Uh huh. And is there anything I should know before I do that, since you know so much about how dangerous they are."

"Uh... well, be careful with the wording of what you say. They go away when the deal is finished and there is a trick to dismiss then."

"Which is...?"

"You have to think about sending them away for a minute."

"All right. I'm going to summon one now. If you've lied to me, I will shoot you. If you're setting me up somehow, my backup will shoot you."

He sets one of the circles on the floor and finishes it.

Oh... Ferdinand is here and if this is a trap it's one that Felix is taking willingly.

"Don't come look for me," Felix says before vanishing.

Here he is in the circle, looking at the woman in the operating table with apprehension.

"Hello again. Would you like to restore that woman to normal human health, to the best of your ability, without causing harmful effects to her or anyone else in the process, aside from any physical technical harm which you honestly believe I would reasonably expect to come to her in the course of healing, notifying me within five minutes when this is complete; in return for your staying here for an hour afterwards, during which time you permit me to pose questions to you, without attempting to interfere, and answer them promptly, clearly, completely, truthfully, and without attempting to deceive me, and moreover are truthful and do not attempt to deceive me in anything else you say or otherwise communicate during that time period."

(He would have preferred to run the wording by Zari, but whatever the assistant may say, the angel really doesn't seem malicious. And the woman is dying.)

He makes that "in the vicinity of hopeful" expression again.

"yes, summoner."

And apparently that is all it takes, because he dashes forward and starts working on the woman. He isn't going to finish the job he was originally assigned and he can't put her back, but he can definitely make her health again, closing the openings he created to sculpt her body from the inside, reconnection some vessels, growing new skin. It takes a while.

Jean owes his sister rather a lot of texts. He sends those, keeping one eye on the angel and the other on the assistant.

Eventually it's all done and woman starts waking up.

"Can... can I leave?" Says the assistant.

"No, not yet."

Tap tap. (Someone come deal with the victim, I'm busy.)

"Angel, are you available for questions now?"

"Yes, summoner." says the angel obediently.

The assistant gulps, the woman is still too confused to offer any opinion on the situation.

"Is there anything about this kind of magic in general, or the deal I made with you in particular, which by your best estimation I most likely do not know and would want you to tell me?" he asks, glancing down at his phone.

"What is the aforementioned thing or things?"

The angel is silent.

"He is gagged... Don't snap the bind the bind, he can kill us all with a thought."

"I don't intend to. What is involved, so that I can avoid it?" he asks, of the assistant this time.

"You... have to think about it."

"Noted. Thank you."

He doesn't snap the binding. These people are the scum of the earth, but the angels could be dangerous as well.

"How involved were you in all this business, and how willingly?" he asks the assistant.

"I didn't knew much, no..." The assistant lies, "he told me things in case something happened, but not everything and I didn't know about his victims."

Felix gives Jean a meaningful look.
