"R-run away or die," says Ijichi, looking down at Gojō's shoes—he can't quite meet the man's blindfolded eyes, yet, not so soon, not at the morgue with the body of his student right there. "I warned them that fighting was absolutely not an option."
"... But we should probably get up so Maki-senpai doesn't end up hunting us down."
"Because that would be terrible," he drawls, but he does not get up.
"Mhmmm. Even if on principle it's not, she'd make it terrible, and you know it." But she also doesn't get up. This is probably the exact level of coziness that led to her sleeping on him in here, actually.
"... I like your earrings," she says affectionately, apropos of nothing at all besides them being visually close, due to the snuggling.
He looks away, happy blushing and lifting his free hand to touch them. "Thank you."
She beams at him, and then: yeah, okay, time to get up. Or Maki will find them. She's a little stiff, but it's fine.
Akiho gives him a quick peck, then says, "See you at training."
Then it's off to go change into clothes she didn't wear yesterday, and get breakfast and do her usual morning routine and whatnot.
"Hey," says Maki, when they're both there. Her smirk says quite a lot. "Get enough sleep last night?"
"More than I usually do," he shrugs. It's true; it was very cosy and he fell asleep earlier.
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean. It almost sounds like you're speculating about your classmates' private lives, but that's something Mai does, not you, right, Zen'in-senpai?" he snarks at her. Seems like some distance from the event and not being literally caught in the act helps. Also probably it being Maki.
Maki laughs.
"Well she is my sister. The resemblance is more than just in our looks, you know? As long as it doesn't get in the way of anything, I don't actually care. I just wanted the chance to needle you!"
"You have had years of chances and taken each and every single one of them."
"So this really shouldn't come as a surprise!" She pats Akiho on the back with a force that almost makes the girl trip. "Keep having this kind of reaction to teasing and I'm including this as part of training. But today I will be merciful. Maybe." She winks. "Or maybe I'm waiting until you're not expecting me. On to business!"
Training does, eventually, conclude.
"So, I don't know about you, but I have some errands to run," announces Akiho, matter-of-factly.
"Oh? ...do you want company? I was thinking, Sensei never did take you on that tour of Tokyo, so maybe," blush blush blush, "maybe I could."
"Oh!" Well now it's her turn to blush, a little. "... Yes, sure. I'd love company. But I promise you don't need to hang around with me as I'm trawling through the makeup aisle."
"I, I don't need to if you don't want me to, just thought I'd offer. And, uh, I'll need to plan a proper tour for you, so that shouldn't be tonight."
"Awww." She takes his hand and kisses it, because he is so cute. "Yes, that's fair. Boring errand run and fun date can stay separate and not comingle. But that's very sweet, and I'm excited already. Even if your plan is just to go park in Akihabara."
"Coolest place is with you," she says, and then she has to immediately flee because that was the sappiest thing she's ever said aaaa someone help her.
Well he will just smile happily to himself here and maybe hum a little tune as he goes back to his room.
...scratch that tune thing he cannot sing and it's kind of embarrassing let's put on the cool and aloof persona back on.
