so apparently 'makes her girlfriend and her girlfriend's crush kiss' is an anathema template attractor

That works for Fay.

And for Anakin.

So - on to the cloning facility, which is in pretty easy travel distance (Anakin and Lily's apartment complex and some other pockets in the neighborhood is by this point mostly inhabited by clones, and they've made a point of clustering assorted buildings or businesses owned by the collective nearby). There are indeed adult bodies ready, none of them apparently properly 'alive' in a sense relevant to the Master of Death regardless of cellular activity.

Only one of the bodies is probably suitable, though, the others are being used to test medications or medical implants right now and/ or have been messed with by Anathema before when attempting memory transfers...

At least they don't have to choose.

It'll be easiest to transfigure the body first, Ellie thinks.

Fay quite agrees; she'll do the honors - a familiarity with her own body from learning the Animagus will help, here.

And so, after secluding themselves a bit... Fay begins transfiguring the body, carefully, checking Anakin's appearance several times, conferring with her about this or that trait in low tones, any scars she wants copied... She takes special care with the irises for the eyes, and assorted other tiny but noticeable details. "And I can tweak some things afterwards," she says, "Like hearing and visual acuity..."

And then - quite quickly, actually, given the level of detail she's using - the body is ready.

Ellie spends the time preparing the spell she's going to cast. When the body's ready, she gets the Elder Wand out.

"So this will be temporary, but in the sense that I'll be able to break the connection. Or the body dies, I guess. Until then, you'll be attached to it."

She pauses. "If I can't break the connection myself without stopping the body's heart - or if I can't stop being embodied while remaining connected - then we should just treat this as a test run to prove connections are possible at all, and, once I've confirmed the connection works, you'll need to break the connection."

" - To be clear, the alternative to that is I stop the body's heart, not that I remain embodied, and if you're not certain you can break the connection while leaving me the sort of ghost I am, we shouldn't try this."

"Breaking the connection would be the easy part. Doing that in an... at-will reversible fashion is more difficult. I have a couple ideas for that, but I want to get those to at least the proof-of-concept stage before testing with you."

"If you can set it up so I can break the connection myself, I'd probably be willing to be embodied even when you weren't in the room to break the connection if needed? Though that might get awkward with the body..."

"Yeah, the leaving-a-random-body-lying-around is what I want to fix. In a way that doesn't mean you need a new one each time you want to switch."

She nods. "Even with a maximally convenient set up, I think most days I wouldn't want to be embodied more than - two hours or so? And ideally not all at a stretch. Which might also be inconvenient for the body's durability - it'll probably need to be on life support when not being inhabited, if nothing else."

"Depending how it gets stored, yeah."

"Realistically with a set up like that, I'd just keep possessing our Anathema's clones - the only downside to me is inconvenience of finding someone to possess, and it has what I suspect will be a benefit of not feeling like it's my body, though my girlfriends will likely sometimes want me to look like myself..."

"I'll need more than, like, an hour to figure it out, but I'll keep that in mind."

Small smile. "I don't think it's worth stressing about much - depends on how much my girlfriends prioritize it, honestly? Only reason I can see wanting to be embodied is when they feel like having me embodied, and if they don't care about my face at the time, doesn't seem worth more than... Maybe a day or two of effort to get to zero inconvenience version of embodiment?"

"Oh no, it's far too late for that. You've dangled this problem in front of me and now I have to solve it."

She laughs. "Not sure if I should apologize for that or say 'you're welcome for the interesting puzzle.'"

"Definitely the latter."

"Well, you're welcome, then," she says, a bit dryly. "What would you need from me to help with this?"

"For the spell, pretty much just stand there. And then if you can make some sort of signal when you've connected, I can cut you out again."

She nods. "Alright."

"Here we go, then."

Ellie makes a complicated gesture while muttering an incantation, pointing first at Anakin, then at the body.

And Anakin gets sucked in.

It's... A bit unpleasant on the first wash, and she'd be panicked if she hadn't braced herself - she's still not happy -

Deep breath, close her eyes, check quickly that she feels attached correctly, it feels like her actual body in the Force which is doubly unpleasant -

"Worked," she says, a bit tightly.

Ellie makes a slashing motion, and the bond severs.

And she's back to normal. A few moments to orient and center herself, then: "I didn't feel any problems."
