"Did you name yourself, Anathema?"

"...Yeah. What's that got to do with anything?"

"Similarities in Force signatures - so far, at least, from a tiny sample size - seem attached to underlying similarities in... Not so much mental process, as... Something like personality. Who someone is, beneath who they grow to be."

"You have the same Force signature as - the girl with the same face as the girl I was possessing. She named herself Anathema, too - Anathema Jedi, where Jedi are a tradition of Force users."

"...Huh."

"That is a weird amount of coincidence."

"It is."

Her gaze drifts back to Fay. "My name's Anakin, though that was my birth name - I'm in the same Force signature pattern as you, Fay, and as both Anathema's, best I can tell from within myself."

"And the second girl with me - she's from the same pattern as you, Ellie. Her name's Ellaita."

"...I'm Ellaita and Anathema's teacher in using the Force."

Fay just glances at Ellie, and, wryly: "I think this is what we get for asking a death-monster for directions to an interesting world."

"I hope you're entertained," she says to Anathema.

"I'm very entertained!" she says with a grin. "A second Fay, a very hot alternate universe me and her identical twin, a very hot alternate universe you..."

"Oh, alternate universe, is that what's going on?" Ellaita enters the room to stand behind Anakin.

"Explains some things," Anathema says, standing on Anakin's other side, leaning a bit against the couch.

(Sharp is going to stand leaning against the door frame suspiciously. This is way above her pay grade, and also Anakin apparently does not keep blasters in her bedroom because she's weird.)

"It's probably what's going on - they traveled from another universe, apparently, through... The land of the dead, was it? - I'm unclear how metaphorical that is."

"It doesn't exactly explain the shared face or Force signatures, though shared Force signatures is already something I knew about locally."

"The land of the dead is approximately zero metaphorical. Except I guess it's maybe a little debatable how much of a 'land' it is, it's not really attached to sort of physical location."

"Huh. So you can travel through it without dying first?"

"I can. And I can bring people who count as extensions of me, more or less. Other people, not so much."

"Are dead people like - well not alive, but... Around and conscious, there?"

"Around, yes, conscious- not really? It's sort of like sleeping, but without dreams."

"Huh..."

Anakin's a bit distant, a bit tense. "...Can you talk to them at all?"

"I could."

"Ah."

"There's... Someone who died a long time ago, who was - very important to me."

"I'm sorry."

She nods. "Thank you. She..."

"...She had the same Force signature as you, and - and I. Loved her very much."

"I'd like to see her again, or - at least get a message to her."

"I think I can help with that. Are you able to hold things?"
