"I think I was vaguely expecting less similarity than this but it's good to know. You can absolutely have furniture. You might want to tell me your opinions on furniture before I get mine all over you."

"I guess I don't actually know if the school makes new desks and beds or if it's inducting them from somewhere but if it were inducting them I would expect them by now to be made of ultralightweight plastic that sucked exactly as much but far more cheaply. Anyway, I like... jewel tones? I definitely do not like eyes as much as you but the pen, while a pleasant surprise, does not have to be on everything. - wow I love being in two places at once this is so fucking cool."

"Oh, jewel tones, nice. Trust me, I'm aware that going really hard on a motif is a me thing and not an everyone thing." 

"I respect it but yeah. ...is there fake sunshine in here like the cafeteria has, could I have plants -"

"You could absolutely have plants." Have a potted violet.

"I don't know very much about what kinds of plant exist because this has never been a focus of my education but I am so excited to have plants!"

"I think potted fruit trees are a thing..."

"YESSSSSSS I want potted fruit trees."

"Tragically I have never held one and I don't understand plant biology well enough to make one anyway, so we're probably going to have to start with seeds."

"I will take pots and seeds."

Pots! With soil in them! Apple seeds. Orange seeds. Pear seeds. Pomegranate seeds. Cherry seeds. Avocado seeds. 

FRUIT TREEEES. She takes them all and puts them in each book stack at the end. The violet goes on her desk. "And I need to sleep with both my mes, right? So some kind of bed. It shouldn't be too much nicer than my Scholomance bed, I think that'd feel weird?"

"Oh, if your pocket dimension is just like mine, there should be a bedroom right under the panopticon room."

Does it have a bed in it?

It has a bed, a bedside table, a dresser, a wardrobe, a desk with a chair, and a small table with two more chairs. All the furniture is wooden and solid, with smooth, curving lines. 

If she wants a bed that's not too much nicer than her Scholomance bed, this one isn't going to suit.

"...well, if it's too nice, Inside Me will just have to sleep on the floor, I guess. Maybe I can compensate if you give me a mattress topper for Outside Me."

Kareen hands her a mattress topper. "I can, also, give you another bed."

"My present one's warded and would be kind of annoying to redo, more's the pity."

"I mean something worse than the one that came with the bedroom, but better than the floor, for inside the pocket dimension."

"Gotcha. I'll try this way first, maybe my intuition that it'd be weird if they're too divergent is wrong. ...do both of me have to eat?"
