The sand of this beach slopes up toward a door in the cave wall.

Yanor commands the raft to hold still and climbs out.

Out!

And while she's here, she unfolds the Anytool into a ten-foot pole, marked at even one-foot increments. Is the sand at least five feet deep? She also looks back at their disembarkation points, and the sand which they pushed into the water as they went. Does it seem to be flowing with the stream, or is it doing something stranger than that?

The sand is more than five feet deep. It doesn't seem to flow with the river.

Probably some sort of enchantment on it, then. It might qualify even so? Better not to rely on that.

Up towards the door! "Tomas, if you could check for traps?" She will Detect Magic, but that might not notice a trap if the enchantments are inside the walls.

Nothing around the door seems to be magical.

Tomas inspects the area around the door. "No traps, as far as I can tell."

A nod to Lhín.

Door: open!

The walls of this room are covered by detailed murals depicting wanton acts involving otherworldly beings of every description. The murals cover every vertical surface, but stop abruptly after turning down the hallway to the south, as though abandoned by the artist.

And the last murals they saw were secretly doors.

"Tomas, is there a door among these as there was with the bound succubi?" Any of the others asking to examine these in-depth will be a little embarrassed. Appearing calm herself is easy, and setting the precedent should help them on that count.

Tomas studies the murals for a few moments. "No door. No traps. There's some writing on this one." He points at the bottom corner of a mural. The words 'Amivadeus Yasrin' are written in metallic ink.

"Yanor, would you translate? My Ancient Thassilonian is not strong."

"It's either a proper noun or gibberish. There is no translation." He pulls out a page and scrawls down the phrase.

"The depicted event, perhaps? A name for one of the individuals therein? The artist's name? I have seen signatures in this fashion. I doubt it is strongly relevant. Onwards?"

Detect Magic. She can keep it up for a few moments while they prepare to continue, and there probably isn't anything unique here worth stopping for.

She finds nothing more of interest in the mural room. A long winding path leads to a set of solid iron doors. They're locked.

"Not trapped." Tomas pulls out some lockbreaking tools and picks the lock. The doors swing open.

The stone walls, floor, and ceiling of this hall are polished to an almost mirrorlike sheen. The arching ceiling is supported by twin rows of columns, all of which have been carved to resemble the same beautiful woman dressed in revealing robes.

A gilded statue stands in the center of the room. It appears to be crafted of solid gold plates. Its shining visage is carved with exquisite detail into an eerie replica of a human face.

Its eyes light up and shine with a brilliant glow. It spins around to face them.

Seems like it uses eyes to see. Immune to magic? Maybe. If so, this will be wasted, but she should at least try.

Burst of Radiance.

The spell fizzles uselessly against the construct's spell resistant plating.

Perfect. Delightful.

Dazzling Blade on one of Julen's swords. "It might not stick, but it's worth trying!" And back away from the door a little, they're uncomfortably bunched up here.

Julen runs up and discharges the dazzling blade. The construct's strange eyes shift as if alarmed. He slices forward with his shortsword but it rebounds off the construct's gold plating.

Tomas briefly studies the construct and runs up to it. His rapier thrust bounces off its gold plating.

The blinding worked, which is good to know. The humans... well, humans. Why did she expect anything more from them. Sigh.
