The chieftain is a little more singed than he was before.

Julen charges the blind cleric and guts him like a fish. He gasps and collapses on the ritual circle.

Tomas charges the chieftain and stabs him in the shoulder. His magically lengthened arms enable strikes from afar.

The chieftain stumbles forward a few paces and swings wildly for Tomas. He can't see and doesn't land any strikes.

Yanor sends his baleful glare at the chieftain. He falls unconscious a few steps from his throne.

The cleric's spiritual weapon doesn't stop attacking even though he's unconscious. It still can't land a hit.

Well, there seems to be nothing else she needs to prioritize. She keeps her eye on it, warily waiting for its next strike. (Yanor's ability to just put things to sleep is impressive, especially if it really is as resource-free as it appears.)

Julen removes the cleric's head with a single swing.

Tomas waits for Julen to do the execution. He's better at them.

The spiritual weapon misses one last time and fizzles away.

Dodge the weapon again! Is it done? ...ah, good. Now she just gets to hope Julen can finish this.

Julen runs over and destroys the chieftain's heart with a piercing strike.

The throne room is quiet once more.

"That went well."

"Indeed. Few wounds among our party against much greater numbers."

"Quite. The javelin hurt, but all things considered it could have gone far worse. Well done, all."

She shifts her arm and winces slightly when she moves where the javelin caught her.

"This is the best chance we'll get to keep them alive. Yanor, if you can speak to them, some well-timed healing and a lecture on the merits of cooperation while standing over their dead chief and healer should give as good a chance as any. ...if we want them to stay alive without said leader, we will need to clean out or similarly convert the boggards, or they will all die in the next attack. If we cannot spend the time or risk, we must plan an escape route for them or accept their eventual deaths. I would prefer to bring them safety in some fashion, if we are claiming authority here, but the risk is shared and so must be the decision."

"I will speak with and heal the rest of the troglodytes. I'm not sure what to do about the boggards."

He taps Tencednil on the shoulder and all of her wounds close. He draws on his spirit and casts a spell. Tounges.

"The cleric had a magic heavy mace. The chieftain had a belt of giant strength and a cloak of resistance. A good haul so far. I wonder if the cleric was a crafter? He didn't seem the type."

Julen is inspecting a fungus-covered wall. "Hmm... there's a barricade here. I think this is our path deeper into the caves."

While Tomas is doing whatever he does to identify things, she will Detect Magic. Anything he seems to have overlooked?

"Maroux may at times have sold them objects, if she was paid in valuables recovered from farther in. Or scavenged from travelers who ran aground or otherwise met with a worse fate than ours in the vicinity. I believe at least her headband was magic, though I thought it rude to investigate closely."

Tomas does not seem to have overlooked anything.

"Perhaps we could ask her, if we ever return to her island."

Tomas is wandering around the room, checking for traps and treasure. He's behind a large rock in the western corner of the room when—

"Aha! More treasure. It was quite well hidden." He emerges holding a dozen pearls, a jade unholy symbol of Zevgavizeb, a set of weights on a rope, and a pair of magical lenses.

"What more did they bear? Enough wealth to acquire a Belt and a Cloak in some fashion most likely comes with wealth not so spent, and easily available to us as it is not expected by the remainder of the tribe. Gold is heavy, in quantity. If they did not bear jewels or similar, we may wish to perform a more thorough search of the area. —Aha! The lenses are magical, the rest is not. Give me a moment..."

She stares intently at the lenses, holding her Detect Magic active. Eventually she rubs her eyes and sighs, her ears drooping slightly.

"I can't make out what they do at the moment. Maybe tomorrow, when I'm rested and more focused."

He looks at the lenses for a few moments. "I'm not sure what they do either."
