Most of Korvosa's highest nobility are now charred corpses. The furnishings have been reduced to ash. The walls and ceiling burn with terrible fire.

The room is dark and cluttered. Artistic carpets cover the floor. Shelves full of magic items and alchemical equipment and knickknacks from a dozen worlds line the walls. Tapestries depicting the Great Beyond hang from the ceiling.

"They're here! In the second entrance hall!"

Volshyenek is already moving. He speaks a command word and the surface of his priceless magic mirror ripples before resolving into an image of the second entrance hall.

The room has become host to a great conflagration. Burning corpses are strewn across the floor. Devils and wizards can be seen retreating from the nobles who still live.

He almost never left Belzeragna before prophecy broke. Now, with sight of the archfiends blinded, he can afford risks like these.

Greater invisibility. He steps through the mirror.

An invisible portal shimmers into existence. It's suspended in the air near the ceiling of the second entrance hall.

What is that? It's the wrong shape to be a gate. Magnificent mansion doesn't open from the inside. It doesn't seem to be a spell at all...

Fire hasn't been able to burn him in a very long time.

It doesn't work. He spent a long time hiding himself from prophecy. Spells that predict the future provide no benefit against him.

Manohar is now a stone statue.

The devils and lesser wizards continue their retreat. Their mass invisibility was dispelled. The situation is really not looking good.

Immolation devils are very bad news. Even a single one could slaughter the entire Acadamae under the right conditions.

He prepared many objects of power against devils today. Banishment.

The immolation devil is banished back to the Hell from whence it came.

Glorio Arkona has taken two fire storms straight to the face and is somehow still not dead.

He carves into the nearest wizard and tears them to shreds.
