They're aslee-

- the two year old has a nightmare, everybody wakes up, the mom sticks her breast in his mouth, they go back to sleep.

Jisa pushes a bit with Projective Empathy, calmcalmcalm at the children in particular, no more nightmares.

They are now all fast asleep.

Jisa looks for the familiar pattern of an amulet with mage-sight.

It's right there like all the others.

She shields it, and shields the sleeping man, and pushes a bit harder with her Empathy to make sure he stays asleep, and then - hmm - if she makes a teensy-tiny mage light right beside it, can she see the necklace it's strung on, and what happens if she tries to slice through it with a force-blade.

She can see, and it doesn't actually react in any particular way if she slices through the chain; the pendant is the magic part.

With the chain snipped, can she gently scoop under the pendant with a force-net and sloooowly tug it away from the sleeping man?

It drags on his neck, catches a bit of his hair.

Jisa freezes, pushes even harder with her Empathy, calmcalmcalmstayasleep, waits.

"Mmg," he says, shifting. He scratches the nape of his neck where the chain is caught. He smooshes his face against his wife's hair and doesn't quite wake up.

With the pendant still cupped in a net of mage-energies and slightly lifted off his chest, Jisa tries cutting the chain again, snip-snip, right on either side of the pendant so she can just leave most of the chain behind on him and not have to tug it past his neck.

The chain falls into the gap between his head and his ten year old son's nose. The pendant comes away and is held in the air where she pulls.

She forms a mage-barrier, bowl-shaped, under it. Now can she move the bowl over the sleeping bodies to the edge of the bed?

Nothing impedes this.

Then she'll lower it tentatively to the floor once it's past the side of the bed, let it rest there, push a bit more with her Empathy - and shape one end of a little round Gate-opening under it, the other end formed between the circle of her thumb and middle finger.

Through it drops. It falls from the circle of her fingers to the ground.

She scoops it up - using a little mage-barrier-bowl again, rather than touching it directly with her fingers, just in case it has a magical alarm against theft or something.

Does anything happen?

Nope.

:Wood: she says. :I got it out without waking him. Are you able to come around to the back where I am? I can Gate us both to the university where we're sleeping tonight:

:I can't leave the area right around the house, you haven't cleared the amulet:

:- Is clearing it something different from breaking it?:

:You didn't break it either. It still has all my standing orders on it:

:Um, I don't know how to clear it, but if you tell me how I can do that and then study it and figure out how to break them more safely once we're hiding:

:I don't know how, I'm not a mage:
