Haru gets a text in the late afternoon.
Hey I think I might be awakening. And also my TA. We’re both having some kind of weird psychotic break that reduced in intensity after I more or less abducted her for implausibly pleasant snuggles for several hours. HELP
Once all the prerequisites are complete, it's time for Cara to shower!
Sheeee is. Nervous about this.
She looks at Haru. "...can you tell me to towel off, put on swim trunks, and come back out here once I finish?"
She nods seriously, disentangles herself from Lucy with obvious reluctance, and heads into the shower.
She doesn't dawdle, but she is definitely due for a hair wash, and that always takes her a bit, and without her usual cues (and ADHD meds), it's easy for her to lose track of little chunks of time here and there...
She dries herself off methodically, puts on the swim trunks, and emerges with a blank look on her face that Haru, at least, can probably recognize.
It doesn't take long for her to 'wake up' again.
It wasn't that bad, this time, but she still shudders, and lets herself slump onto Lucy a bit. "Thanks."
-the affirmations and the squeeze get a faint wiggle out of her.
They care about her... it's nice.
She waits a bit before saying "So now we sandwich Lucy to get her maximally guided before her turn, right?"
