She moans, her back arching slightly, and then melts even further into the bed. "hhhhhmmgmmnnnm" 

"Ooh, making progress there." Knead knead he has both hands now.

Sheee is just going to keep moaning and occasionally twitching a bit. "a-aaahhhhhhh..."

"I feel sort of like dentists must feel, trying to make small talk while you are totally incapable of putting together a verbal response."

This gets him a very giggly Cara for about 5 seconds, and then he presses into the Stubborn Knot again and she interrupts herself with another moan. "hhhhhhhhhh"

Knead knead. "Your calendar thinks you have a zillion friends, do they not do backrubs or do you just accumulate too much of this too quickly for them to keep up with?"

"...mostly they don't do backrubs. It's been a long time since - nmmmmnnn - since I've gotten one."

"That sucks. Fortunately I have allll this grip strength and need to be touching you anyway, so." Squeeze.

"y-yeahhhhhmmmghmmmmmmm" and it's nonverbal puddle Cara time.

"I have no idea how you pronounced that noise, wow."

"'s myy - mmmmm - esper power... weir - MMMMnnnMMm - weird noises..."

"No, you don't get your powers till you're all done."

"ohhhhhhhhhh, riiiiiiiiiiight", she manages to eek out.

"It's sort of pointless to speculate but I do wonder what you'll get. Did I already guess psychiatric healing power - I could also see, like, telekinesis -"

He gets an inquisitive-toned massagedgirl-noise at the mention of telekinesis. 

"Because it's a little like the world around you can telekinese you? So if you can telekinese stuff, that would be sort of the right brand of galaxy brained opposite. But it could be lots of stuff, just, like, probably not fireballs."

"'Huh! interest - mmmmmmmmnmn - interesting..."

"I do not have a good track record of guessing this, though, when that one quiz was going around if you factored out the espers I recognized as individuals by their backlash I did only scarcely better than chance."

...okay that's actually fascinating enough that she's going to wrench her brain back from the pure sensory zone, at least for long enough to look at him and say. "waitwaitwait, are there people who do much much better than chance on that quiz? People who for whatever reason are reliably good at power/backlash matching?" 

"Well, some, but I don't know if it's more than you'd expect from giving the entire internet a multiple choice quiz and waiting for the ones who guessed right a lot to rationalize it."

"Thaaaat makes sense." for 30 seconds she had lived in a slightly more beautiful world, where there was a type of guy who could magically connect esper backlashes to powers... ah well. She still lives in a very beautiful world. Where she's currently in the process of being given magic powers. And getting a magical massage....

"There might be people with a real knack for it, there's people who make it their business to suggest partnerships to espers - agents and guilds and suchlike."

It's the kind of thing she could see herself enjoying, though she has no idea if she'd be good at it. 

She manages to express this between massage noises, but it takes a while. She gets the sense that Haru doesn't mind, though. (Heeeee thinks she's cuuuuuuuteeeeeee :D :D :D)

He does think she's cute! And there is guiding and there is reacting to a thing he is doing and it is sufficiently social. Begone, shoulder knots.
