Haru, having been successfully talked to sleep, sleeps.

Julien - doesn't.  Not for a while.

The guiding is really nice and it's pretty clear that he did the right thing, here, and should carry on with it.  From the perspective of going along with what the people running things, the 'directors', want from him.

But if that were fully true, then, why does Haru keep not wanting to.  Julien gets hit with a wave of sick fear, that the point here is to frogboil him into - doing something horrible - but does it matter, really, if he does things to people who aren't real, to keep himself, a real person, from being tortured - yes, it does, emphatically, resoundingly.  He's not going to.

But Haru said that he was being careful of Julien...

He successfully stays asleep through the rest of his nightmares until quarter of seven.  And that one he's not really awake for, per se, just twitchy-to-thrashy and a bit loud.

Well, that wakes up Haru but he...

...holds still. "Julien?"

"- Hnnnn -"

Haru doesn't want to cost him more sleep...

Haru's got a leg that isn't touching Julien. He pokes his toes through the footboard of the bed for a split second then pulls it back. If he did that right he'll - yeah, he can grab his phone and text people.

That calms him back down.

Then they can lie there, Haru texting people crazily, till Julien wakes up.

It's another hour and a bit before Julien opens his eyes.

By then most of the backlash is gone. Amazing how full-torso-and-some-arm contact is better than feet-to-feet. "Morning."

"...Yeah.  It is."

"We should probably... talk... about things."

"Yeah.  That seems... yeah."

"Espers kind of blur the line between - human intimacy undertaken for normal reasons, and - medicine? If I were just your, your tripsitter, and couldn't also guide you, I would definitely have a duty to refuse till you'd come to a sober opinion. I - only maybe presently have that duty, because it's also sort of like refusing you painkillers or something, but..."

"...I mean yeah, I am definitely wanting this for painkillers reasons, pretty much entirely."

"Which is legit, I would have been all over that if I'd had someone compatible on hand when I was awakening, but. What's your blood type?"

"Uhh.  It's the most common one..."

"Okay, I can -" alert his phone to listen up, and, "Google 'most common blood type'... it says O positive?"

"Probably??  - Right, because I'm almost universal donor but not...."  Wait oh no.  "- Actually I don't really want to see or think about blood this week.  If possible."

"- okay. Doesn't work anyway."

Ughhhh he's so stupid, he could have gotten caught up in a transfusion plot and then things could have gone anywhere from there, it could have kept going on Haru and Julien would have had to watch him bleed out and also fill up on his blood like a tick, or obviously the bleeding out could somehow happen to Julien, or Julien could abruptly turn into a vampire - he could be one already, and just not notice until presented with blood in the open air - "So, uh, how did you sleep??"
