"I think there wasn't before, they shared the one from Healers' - which obviously isn't fully applicable - but Melody's been laying some groundwork on it ever since getting Jisa as a student. I'll see if she's free. She's around but, um, pretty busy right now." 

"Yeah, I can imagine. Hopefully she'll find a half-candlemark to look at this. I don't know how popular Mindhealing'll be anyway."

"Melody might try recruiting for it. We could really use more but I think most people barely know what it is." 

Belrun doesn't make very much of a face. "I haven't done it before, so I'd need a model Mindhealer to copy from the first few times anyway and can't start handing it out without consulting one. Any other comments, places I missed things...?"

Shavri has a few, other Heralds have a few. Suggestions are made, some of which are good and some of which are pretty nitpicky. 

As long as she's here and listening to the nitpicks anyway it doesn't save a lot of time to dismiss them so she will consider it an opportunity to build political capital. Edits are made. "Thanks, everybody!"

"Thank you for doing this. It'll be kind of complicated at first, but...it's a brilliant idea." 

"Thank you! I've been thinking that at some point if you're both okay with it - Randi might benefit from Healing of his own? He has the next best thing but it might buy him a little longer..."

Shavri goes very still. 

"...Yes," she says faintly, a few seconds later. "That - we would deeply appreciate..." 

"I had been thinking of waiting till after the handoff - so far nothing awful has happened even working on myself with relayed Sight during an actively malicious earthquake, but it'd be an especially bad occasion for it and he's delicate..."

"That makes sense. I think it can wait a few weeks or months, he's not deteriorating fast." 

"If he does take a turn for the worse I can do it in a couple candlemarks, don't even need outside help any more. - How's Jisa, does she like her flying mouse?"

"She does! She's doing fine. Thought the evacuation and the fires were a grand adventure, which I guess is better than her being terrified and clinging to me for the next week, like after the last time we nearly died. She wants you to make her a mage. I said not until she's a lot older." 

"Would she pass the screening quizzes for what she's already got?"

"I doubt it! She's ten. I think in general we should probably not give ten-year-olds powerful Gifts." 

"I agree! And I don't have very good precision on strength of Gift anyhow so probably no Gifts for ten year olds at all."

"Fair enough. It'll still be an option when she's older." 

Shavri bids her a good evening and heads out. 

Leareth, when she gets back to the tent, is attempting to read a book without using his hands by turning the pages with magic. 

"Is that working pretty well or should your hands be the next priority?"

"This is tolerable but I am getting rather tired of needing to do everything with magic," Leareth says, though cheerfully enough. "I am also very bored with being in bed, but if I get up I am sure it will be horribly painful and I will probably tear some scabs and make you redo all your good work." 

"Well, I can focus on that too, you're looking lively enough that a walk would probably be good if I can finagle it."

"I would appreciate that." He uses a whisper of magic to insert a bookmark and close his book. "How was your day?"

"Productive, I bopped around a lot talking to people and have more of a sense of how everything works now. Had a meeting about the details of my screening quizzes for folks who want Gifts. I asked somebody to bring us dinner in a bit and tomorrow I'm expecting a draft of a Companion-friendly floorplan of some palace buildings."

"Good for you." Leareth makes conversation with her about it while she does some Healing, and then wants snuggles. 

He can have snuggles. If he's up to turning pages with magic maybe he is also up to teaching her some magic, are there situations where moving stuff with magic is going to be more efficient than using Fetching? Can he debug her mage-light so she'll be able to ride at night while tapping nodes? How does purifying water work, that's probably lots more efficient than killing everything in it with Healing.
