"Yeah, but if I'm missing out on double growth methods I wanna get something else good instead."

"You don't have to miss out on double growth methods! Hybrids exist! You can be a neutral and another thing too!"

"How many points?"

"Six unless you take the affinities of something that has Beast affinity, like taura or oread, that gives a discount because hybridizing is beast-aligned."

"Hmmm. Can we maybe just leave me as a Neutral for now and come back to this once I've gotten the important point spends out of the way?"

"We can, but if you might change affinities that will change how much things cost and potentially also which elements are available."

"Uggghhhhh this is gonna be the death of me. What do Luxal, Lilins, and Daeva get the affinities for?"

"Luxals have Metal and Life - discounts alchemy, runes, portals, divination, and metallurgy, plus makes metallurgy in-affinity so it does not count against your elementalism limit. Lilins have fire and mind, puts firecalling and psionics in-affinity and discounts those plus runes, portals, and divination. Daeva have body and life, discounting alchemy, hexes, portals, and divination. Plus there are little perks or wild magics each of which has one affinity, hybridization is one of these."

"Wow, Luxal discounts a lot actually. What will I look like as a Neutral-Luxal hybrid? You mentioned metallic growths? Those sound kind of unpleasant."

"As a neutral hybrid you can cut that down quite a lot! If you want metal horns or living body jewelry then you can have them but I do not think you will need to design in any metal growths if you do not want them. Your gemstone is... bloodstone, should look very nice as eyes."

"Oh, and to be clear, the flesh parts of my body will still look and feel the same, right?"

"Yes. Well, they will feel like flesh. They will not, I gather, be exactly the same you have them now."

"Indeed, insofar as my body has flesh parts right now."

"Yup. No problem in that department being a part-luxal."

"What if I was a full Luxal?"

"Then either but harder to avoid the metal popping up in places, you could pick the places but might have to pick a couple."

"Hmmm, but then, six points seems to be a lot, and being unable to use normal furniture would be inconvenient. Hey, when you hybridize your class you have to pick a real one for discount purposes, is it the same for race?"

"Yes, you only get one race's affinities. But all their charge methods and immortalities and features that you care to have."

"Hmmm.... So basically, I'd be paying six points and the ability to use normal furniture to be immortal. What's the point cost to do it with one of the magic types that lets you pull it off?"

"You could revisit the complication that makes you very light, to compensate for your tungsten bones, if you would like. If we assume you will have double discounted runes and be using a time charm to stop aging, seven points. Five ranks of familiarity might be a better choice but it is sorceress-affiliated so even with an affinity discount, nine points."

"Yeah, I think I'll just stick with Neutral and get immortality through my magic, since five ranks in runes will probably be useful for lots of other stuff too."

"Alrighty. Are you taking the natural awakening one?"

"Yeah. Hey, wait, I'm curious, if I were an Oread, which animal would I be?"

"Cat."

"Figures. Anyways, I believe I now have two points of Complications going to waste. Which of mine cost two?"
