"One point if it'll hit you just about once a year, two for monthly, four for daily, eight for several times a day. Cut in half if it has a dropoff - like if you have to smell every kind of flower that is less a problem than if you have to smell every flower, you will run out both in general and specifically around wherever you normally go."

"So, my options for getting my last 6 are fated death, memory loss, and this, right? What's the cheapest, most convenient way of cheating death?"

"Being a species that does that is free. You can also try to get into people's Witch Decks, they are like trading cards with witches on that summon duplicates of whoever is on them to fight and if you are dead when someone does this, poof, it is the real you instead."

"How do I do that? Also, if I do, am I magically bound to serve them?"

"You find someone with a deck that has blank cards and offer to sign one and bleed on it. Most likely to work if you have in demand powers. And you would be but for twenty four hours only, after that free and clear."

"Hmmm. What about lichdom? Will that get me out of it?"

"Your defeater will try to be pretty thorough about getting you dead, so if they know you are into necromancy they may work around it, but the fate does not strictly require that they be so thorough that you cannot pop up again at your phylactery."

"Hmmm, yeah, that sounds pretty dicey. Thinking I may have to take the memory wipe one, if I get all of them back, and if I can easily become immortal so I don't have to worry about wasting limited lifespan."

"Being immortal is not exactly easy, it is like saving up to buy a house, most people can do it if they really want to own a house and go about it competently but it may take a long time and a mortgage. Doable though, especially since you can buy some rank five magic and have rare pricey services to sell."

"Well getting old and dying sucks, so I'd be doing it anyway even if I weren't losing an extra couple years to this Complication."

"Are you really sure you want to be Neutral? You do not have to get old or even get a mortgage to avoid it if you are another thing."

"Having two growth methods is really useful, and I prefer the basic human form-factor. What are my options for species that don't age?"

"You could be a hybrid, those are a thing. Daeva do not age, naiads age backward triple speed underwater so sleeping in the pool will do you, oreads like me are similar but take dirt naps instead, lamiae age but can drop an egg to hatch into themselves later in a young body when they die, luxals age backward when they eat enough metal, sylphs don't age and have a cocoon thing to pop out of if they get killed, empusas don't age but you cannot be a fat one because you do not start out fat, lilins do not age and can be summoned back out of Hell if they die, draviri slow way down on the aging and stop before they look more than forty and if they die there's an egg in among the remains that can hatch into them, jotuns have a similar thing to reappear out of. Orcs and dwarves age, but both can be reborn in their family members."

"What're their perks? Anything as good as getting two growth methods?"

"My personal quality assessment? Daeva perk is dumb, lamia perk is sketchy, jotun perk is weird. Oread and empusa ones are fine but not worth it. Luxal one is good if you like arts and crafts, lilin one is good if you like fucking with people, taura one is good if you like running, sylph one is good if you are into running around naked walking through walls holding your breath. Naiad one makes you Aquaman which is cool, dravir one is just about a must-have if you are fond of being a dravir enough to do it at all, "

"Please, elaborate."

"Draviri are dragon people. The perk means they can turn dragonier, on a sliding scale if they for instance just want to put on wings for a bit, and changing also makes them stronger and their breath weapons more intense.

"Naiads with their type perk can talk to and boss around marine critters. The smart ones you can hypnotize a bit to do what you say, anything else you're basically just yelling. Synergizes with having the separate suggestion perk.

"I think you probably do not want to be an orc dwarf sylph or empusa, shall I skip those?"

"I'll pass on the rest, but what exactly is a sylph?"

"Weightless spirit folks."

"Yeah, pass on that one too."

"Thought so.

"Luxals are metal-eating metal-boned gemstone-hearted-and-eyed people and they can grow more metal out of themselves if they eat enough - doesn't have to be the same kind, it looks like if you are a luxal your metal will be tungsten but you can eat aluminum drink cans no problem. Perk lets them make the growths customized shapes, or sudden metal bullets.

"Lilins can sneak into people's dreams and control them. Some people can fight them for control there but most cannot. If you can get whoever's dream it is to agree, you can make them stay asleep and they won't wake up.

"Tauras can run all the way around the world mighty fast if they want, hundreds of miles an hour. Advisable not to do this on the keystone Earth."

"Tungsten? Isn't that the densest metal there is? Would I have difficulty moving or using furniture? Also, would I still be able to eat regular food?"

"Luxals do eat regular food also. Tungsten is very heavy but you will be able to move; furniture might be tricky.

"Daeva get a bodily control thing, tolerating temperatures and reducing oxygen needs and such, also fertility control. Basically all easy to handle with other magic.

"Lamias get mana from swallowing creatures and people and their perk makes them better at that.

"Jotuns can become giant, and their perk makes doing this ditch their skin, makes their exposed non-skin harder and their muscles stronger, and gives them extremely good regeneration, but, again, they have no skin while they are big.

"Oreads can burrow through the earth, our perk makes that lots faster and easier."

"Man, the Jotun one sounds powerful but also really gross. None of the others really appeal. I think I am gonna have to stick with Neutral and become immortal the hard way."

"You don't have to buy the type perks, they are extra, if you want to be a naiad and not Aquaman."
