Orpheus shrug. "A lot of those marriages are arranged. And It's a whole thing that couples often compliment each other and go to the same profession or one helps the other in some capacity. Covering each other's flaws. They do stuff like, having the couple go together during job interviews, and it's okay if the homemaker does all the social handling during the interview. Like, it would even be why you married them if you are socially awkward but capable iin the field."

"That does sound nice. I mean, if it extends beyond married couples it could even be useful, it'd be great if I could do Alex's interviews for him, he hates them. But arranged marriages? Yeesh. Wonder if that's why our uncle ran off? Just because you compliment each other doesn't mean you get on."

"I don't think it extends beyond married couples? But maybe that doesn't come up as often in media I consumed from there. I wouldn't blame your uncle if that was the reason either, I am so glad that's the kind of stuff dad isn't pressuring us to do, despite the monstrous urgency." Head tilt. "Speaking of urgencies. I think you might regret not taking off your clothes, right now." Smirk.

Blink, "What do you-" and then the flight ritual cuts out, and he backflops into the water with a yelp.

He comes up sputtering a moment later.

"Aw man, wet jeans." He grabs at the water around him with his gift, holding himself up while he tries to wiggle out of them. "You really are evil," he accuses once he's free.

"I just gave you a practical lesson about being mindful of timing." Aaron is no longer in a sitting position, his own flight ritual having run out, and instead he is kicking his legs to stay afloat.

He sticks his tongue out at him - and then he smirks, sending the water he was holding onto splashing at Aaron's face, kicking back towards the edge of the pool in an attempt to escape any return fire.

Aaron spits out the water, before laughing victoriously, he swims towards James and returns fire. Not that he expects any to land, against the fluid controller.

He catches it and throws it back at him with a cackle, and then scrambles out of the pool and makes for the house at a run.

He sends another splash, but then just decides to swim for a bit.

...Hm, to pants or not to pants, he considers once he's inside. It's a shame Temple isn't around to ask about his newest topic of interest, it sounds like he did some research on it. That being the case, the next best person to ask is probably Topher, he realizes.

...He decides to go put on pants first, heading upstairs to grab some from his and Alex's bedroom before going looking for their magic teacher.

Topher can easily be found in the living room. Next to Adam, listening to one of his compositions. Which makes the pants first a good decision in general, Adam might grew up with Franklyn (and Aaron), but it's clear that he prefers the more properly attired Topher. Who sometimes wears bow ties at home.

He'll take a seat on a couch and wait for Adam to finish before bringing up the topic. He's not in that much of a hurry.

Adam acknowledges him. And lets him know that the thing is the same one he showed Jamie yesterday. Just trying to get another opinion. "Do you want to ask Topher anything?"
