Is - reality going to be changed so that I always existed, or are memories going to be altered, or are people going to be spontaneously created and have mysteriously always been there, or what?"

"Fair enough," says Blair. "What's are the dark and gothic and tight fitting styles like?"

"As far as the new world is concerned, you will have been born there fifteen years ago. Only you will remember your previous life."

Blair's shadow shrugs. "So long as it fits the Style and is a set of clothing, you may define your transformation however you like."

"But have no memories of the new one I'll be living, and that to everyone else I have been living? And by what mechanism does this happen, am I going to be warping the minds of my new family just by existing?"

"Well that depends on how you define dark and gothic. What counts as 'dark and gothic'?"

"Would you prefer that you not remember your old life and that your new family had no memories of you?"

"I would prefer that exactly zero memories be tampered with, if that means I don't arrive with a family all ready to take care of me, so be it."

"Okay. Black longcoat, pants, shirt. Of. Some kind. Reasonably flattering without being impractical. Practical, comfortable shoes I can run in. Everything fitting the aforementioned color scheme of black, red, and grey."

Blair's nods. "Yes. You may specialize your body to be stronger against physical attacks, stronger against magical attacks, or able to channel more magical power. You may also specialize it to regenerate extremely quickly at the cost of magical aptitude, channel offensive spells more easily, channel defensive spells more easily, or channel mobility spells more easily."

"So what is a scenario where I could have the Hanged Man card and not mess with anyone's memories?"

"And can I only pick just one?"

"You would be given a family, but they would not remember you."
