"I noticed that." She sends Ivy a significant look. (The casket Ivy had made for Cytherea's body was among the only things that God had not dissolved.)

"A matter for private debriefing, my Lord."

Slight nod, and She taps something into Her tablet. "Leave the body here," She orders. "Do you seven need anything before we head to a conference room?"

Phoe seemed worst off, but she's pulling together, so "No, Lord."

"Very well. Follow me."

Ivy falls in a step behind Her - the way a cavalier traditionally would.

Yeah, no, Ellyn's just going to follow like a normal person.

Gideon will fall in behind Ellyn, though.

It's possible Ivy is annoying God, actually, so 'follow normally' might just be the intended behavior.

She doesn't say anything (twitches when Ivy acts overly formally don't count), until they're all inside of a large conference room, an oval table dominating the center. God sits Herself down at the head, and when Ivy tries to hover over Her shoulder, She mutters, "Just sit down. Normally."

"As you will, my Lord." She drapes herself into a chair at God's right hand.

Ellyn takes a seat about halfway down the table from them.

The Sixth will split the difference on the other side.

Phae sits between the Ninth and God (quietly directing at least one of her cavaliers to join the Sixth's side).

Babs will take the far side, leaving Phoe to sit right by her sister.

If God cares about the politicking, She doesn't show it.

"First: congratulations on your ascensions to Lyctorhood, especially on achieving something none of the original Lyctors came close to."

"Thank you, Lord. The notes left behind by your first disciples were invaluable."

"Anastasia and Irene's especially, I assume?" She glances at Ivy.

She shrugs. "Irene built off Iris a lot, too - and Gideon was close, I think, and her attempt failed a lot more gracefully than Anastasia's, though she isn't half as good at taking notes. And, well. The others' would've been useful for speed running 'what not to do.' A lot of Irene's advantage was seeing where they failed before she even started."

"It was, mm, a synthesis." She laughs slightly. "Not to downplay our own thoughts and modifications, of course."

"We only found Anastasia's notes, anyways. Unless you mean just the slabs with the lab theorems?"

" - No. I left copies of all of Irene's notes, with some additions of my own, in our room - plus a few papers in the library on related theory."

"Cytherea tried to sabotage you, didn't she?"

"At first."

"It is good you prevailed, then."

"It would have been a shame for you to lose more."
