"We can all mix and match, it's convenient."

"I'm not very compatible with her but you can't have too many options... I was just struck with the thought that I've been in Toronto for a little while but I hardly feel like I actually know the place."

"Is there something you wanna see? What makes you feel like you know a place?"

"Not sure. I did kind of exist mostly as an apartment lurker... Nice parks? Museums? Wendy and I have a shared interest in museums- Something someone thought was interesting enough to specifically put in one is often interesting enough to go see."

Ren has lots of recommendations for museums and parks and weird little stores and experimental theater and upcoming festivals of various sorts!

Oh yay! A good topic!

The pea pasta thing is pretty good, and Ren bought a cherry pie for dessert.

Teddy is making a list of parks and museums to go see! With someone or alone is ambiguous.

It's his call.

"Remind me where you live, Teddy?"

"-Oh I'm in an extended stay hotel right now to figure out... Espering, guiding, what next... But I still have a place in, like, the suburbs of New York City. I'm not particularly attached."

"One hears good things about New York City."

"I've been, I spent nearly three weeks there one summer while you were with Charlie, Haru."

"It's a lot. Central park is very neat. I hope they end up doing the, uh, the congestion pricing thing, just a flat and fairly steep toll to enter downtown in a vehicle. Proceeds go to public transit. They keep talking about it but it's never quite gotten to reality yet..."

"Hm, wouldn't that be hard on the taxis?"

"Most of the proposals exempt taxis because people complained about exactly that."

"Oh! Well, then it sounds fine at least to me, I thought barely anyone in New York even owned a car."

"There's enough business people and - importantly, tourists - coming through that it adds up to kind of a lot of traffic. Even with the subway system and everything. Traffic is just bad, it makes everyone wait, it makes wrecks more likely, it's loud and smoggy and this has health sequelae..."

"Sequelae?"

"Consequences."

"They're only sequelae if they're from the sequel area of France. Otherwise they're just sparkling consequences."

"- oh, I get it, like champagne."

"There's a bunch of - regional locks on products like that. Traditional. Like, Parmesan Reggiano- Not Parmesan generally but that specific kind, is from this one part of Italy. And there was this thing where Kentucky tried to, like, copyright the word 'Bourbon' but only managed to get 'Kentucky Bourbon' specifically."

"Isn't there, like, a House of Bourbon, in Europe?"
