[Ulmo if you can't save the Trees you can short term prevent eclipsing disasters if you can get every single eclipsing Elf to quit metabolizing food, duplicate the effects of a fast. I don't know if the littlest kids can do that but I tried an adult and it works. You might need a way to arrange another eclipse later closer to the kids' relevant birthdays, I have no idea if that will work but it could, I'm not sure how to make it certain enough to affect today -]
