And with a hat over her ears and hair and a scarf over her chin Maitimë is not an obvious Elf. Nobody'd blink if she opted to sit at Isabella's feet in the lodge with her cocoa, though Isabella doesn't actually tell her to. (Maitimë is however on cocoa-fetching duty.)

She will fetch cocoa. ...she won't kneel. She will wonder over osanwë whether the Valar could be persuaded to install ski lifts on Taniquetil or the Pelóri. Skiing is so much fun. Being - not in Arda - is so much fun. (The treaty negotiations went well, too.)

I can't think of a way ski lifts would offend Valar sensibilities but maybe I'm unimaginative.

These ones are too ugly but it's probably possible to make less ugly ones.

I think so, but perhaps someone can come up with a better decoration than I'm thinking of.

Maybe this is why humans invented things faster, we don't have to pause to prettify everything before it goes into production.
