"...cool! Can we take video?"

I have no objection, more people will see how swift and strong we are!

Some greys set up to record the fight! "What are your names again so we can title it?"

They both have long and grandiose names but the short versions are 'Sunwind', who has white head stripes, and 'Flickerclaw', a lithe red Draak with lots of symmetrical black marks.

The two duelists stand on their back legs, wings spread wide and breathing gouts of flame into the sky with loud roars!

Then they are cautiously approaching the other. Flickerclaw strikes first, not committing to it but forcing the other to dodge. Sunwind responds with a short puff of flame and that makes Flicerclaw snarl and back off, and they keep their distance with only light strikes for a while. They use fire sparingly.

A different Draak comments, They are testing each other. They have about the same speed but Flickerclaw is more experienced and older. Sunwind has spirit and strength in Water, though. I would bet on him.

"Water?" asks a grey.

"Do you guys bet, actually?" asks another.

Means he's flexible. Adaptable. Water goes around and through and just splashes if you hit it. And yes, sometimes.

(The fight continues.)

"You don't have money though, I heard."

So we bet stuff, their fellow audience member replies. Some of it's even kind of money, everyone mostly agrees that this gemstone is worth twelve Shiny Things or whatever even if it's their first time seeing it.

(Sunwind is on the defensive, flowing around and dodging the other one's aggression.)

"Oh, that makes sense."

"Stop talking, the video doesn't need you talking in it."

"It was relevant!"

"It can't pick up the telepathy!"

"Oh yeah. That's not gonna make any sense, is it."

You could repeat what I say.

(Sunwind suddenly rushes forward and gets under his opponent and grabs, claws digging into scales. He tries to lift and flip the other Draak, but Flickerclaw twists and escapes. They're both bleeding now.)

If this were a real fight there'd be a lot more biting.

"He says I can repeat what he says. And if this was a real fight there'd be a lot more biting. It looks pretty serious to me though."

(Sunwind tries to go for another fast dash under his opponent's guard but this time gets his head and neck slammed into the ground with an unpleasant noise. His claws shove his opponent off of him and he dodges backward again, a bit shaky.)

Stupid to try the same thing twice. They're not trying to kill each other, it's not serious.

The grey repeats this. "When we spar we usually don't bleed."

I heard Draak get hurt a lot more, maybe we're used to it.

(Sunwind's strategy changes to a style full of feints and sudden changes in momentum. Flickerclaw seems to get angrier and angrier at being unable to land a solid hit.)

"You guys could be in movies if you wanted."

What's a movie?

"Like see how I'm recording this on my everything? That, but with a story people act out."

Doesn't sound like my thing. Maybe they'd like it. Especially if they can show off.

(Sunwind plays at being tired, then Flickerclaw gets recklessly aggressive to press the advantage until she overextends and Sunwind swoops around from the side, smacking her with the end of his tail as he goes, and pins one wing and puts his head on her neck.)

...Flickerclaw yields!

Greys applaud, the ones who aren't filming.

Sunwind crows in victory, breathing fire at the sky again, and vigorously shakes himself before padding over towards the audience.

What do you think of that spectacle, o Amentans? We Draak are fast and strong and of excellent fighting form yes?

"It was really cool! I was just saying you could be in movies!"

What's that?

Video stories.

That would be fun! Stories are usually nice even if they're not actually true.

"They'd probably take a true one too if you have one that's cinematic."

I don't know lots of stories and I don't know what 'cinematic' is. As long as I get to look awesome or fight something it'll be fun.

"Looking awesome on screen is cinematic."
