I don't know! Being too surrounded makes me nervous. If there's a way I could run away or enough space to get into the air if I wanted to it'd be fine.

That sounds a lot better than one that's all closed up! I didn't even know those were a thing!

We like roofs for most purposes so if it rains we don't get wet, and to keep away bugs and windblown dirt.

Rain is nice, and bugs and dirt aren't that bad. Tail-swish. Every animal's different though. I see a tree, useless except for taking wood from. Squirrels and birds see a food source and a home. I don't think non-Sapphires even like rain.

Rain won't really hurt us, but it can affect how we regulate temperature and makes a lot of our tools break, like pocket everythings.

I will be scared in a city, all walls and roofs. But it'll be fine. I'm scared a lot and I'll get to smell and see and hear and maybe taste lots of new things.

You shouldn't need to go indoors at all if you don't want to. I think you're small enough to take off on a wide street.

I should bring the meat we packed into the ship when it's time to go to a city. I bet Seeker could go months without eating anything if he had to but I'd better not try that.

Is it only meat you like?

We can eat a few kinds of plants but mostly they just taste interesting sometimes and aren't actually filling. I'll taste anything though!

A tasting menu is soon cobbled together out of things they have handy on the research island.

Most of these things don't taste like things Draak can eat, but the seasonings are interesting and good. It's a little weird that they mostly eat muscle-flesh and not the rest of animals too.

Salty things are yummy. Protein-heavy non-meat foods are more edible than starchy ones. Fried things are yummy! Draak can taste sugar but it's unappealing - not bad, just meh. Dairy is BAD.

These responses mostly make sense for predominantly-carnivores except they're surprised by the negative reaction to cheese.

It tastes... Already half-eaten. I would eat cheese before starving but it's not tasty at all.

It's pretty weird. We have things like crabs and fish and insects too. Yours are different but the same kind of thing.

Maybe there are only so many ways for animals to be, even though it seems like there should be more variety.

Or maybe some aliens put plants and bacteria on every planet a billion years ago! Figuring out why is an Air kind of thing, though. I'd rather learn what is, not how and why it is.

Both things seem worth knowing, and specializing makes plenty of sense.

Specialization happens but not in a caste kind of way. Also, people say the best Draak is strong in all four.

Maybe that's more efficient for you because you mostly don't live in groups.
