"Well, quite. That was a rather delightfully skillful hoax."

"It was innovative so it didn't need to be that skilled."

"Well, true. You know, I'll take it over Piltdown Man any day."

"That one I don't know off the top of my head."

"Oh, uh, someone faked a bunch of fossils to make it look like humans evolved in England." 

"Huh, did they stand to benefit from this in some way or did they just do it for kicks?"

"Well, that depends on who did it! Last I recall, they had, like, a list of suspects, but not a conclusive answer--but the guy who found them, one of the suspects, got a lot of scientific esteem for the find."

"Did it get discovered as a hoax in his lifetime?"

"Nope." He'll be very embarrassed when Lucy resurrects him, she's sure.

"Well, it's a better use of evidence-planting skill than the perfect murder, I guess."

"Oh, for sure, but that's a low bar to clear."

"Well, what do you think the best use of that skill would be?"

"Hmmm. Kits for children to learn archaeology with? Like chemistry sets, but with bits of rock and bone and those little brushes."

"Ooh, that's a great idea and would probably not have occurred to me."

"Thanks! I went to a lot of museums as a kid. As, uh, kids? There were a good handful of me who went to museums."

"Museums are good! Toronto's got good ones if you want to go museum-trawling in downtime. And remain based in Toronto."

"Ooh! Even if I don't remain in Toronto I will probably want to do museums first."

"Where else might you wind up?"

"Well, like, if there's someplace it's better for me to be for coordinating-with-espers reasons."

"All big cities have espers, because dungeons like cities, the bigger the better. We have not literally had Godzilla come for Tokyo but it's where you'd expect that to happen if ever it did."

"If Tokyo ends up with a horrible lizard dungeon and NYC ends up with a horrible primate dungeon I am going to laugh about it."

"Neither of those specific things has happened but we did get dragons in London once."

"That is cool. If the putting people in monsters thing works out I'm going to want to put Araith in a dragon."

"Has Araith been dragons in the past or is it just the right vibe?"
