A dark space, lit with eerie green light. In front, four hovering pictures. Soft, instrumental music.
And two women, unconscious, in front of them.
"Mostly because demon's are destructive. Kill or be killed. Think of nothing else."
Garrett shrugs good naturedly. "They're all freaky to me." Beat. "No offence, Anders."
"If you just connect to them on their plane, they would understand! Audacity does!!"
"Mentioning your pet demon in front of near strangers probably isn't such a good idea."
"I'm my own person, Hawke. I trust everyone here. And I have a Dalish friend."
"Never said you weren't. You're always so defensive. Learn that from my baby brother?"
Merrill flinches. There's a moment of silence, and then tears fill her eyes.
She runs out of the room.
Tabs takes in a steadying breath. Anya has a point, antagonising anyone isn't going to help.
"Abominations aren't the end of the mage they take over."
"Do you know of a way of separating the mage from the demon without killing the mage?"
“There’s a ritual. You need a lot of power, and then it sends you into the part of the Fade where the demon lives. Then it’s a case of talking it down or, you know, killing it.”
“I know about that,” Anders says in surprise. “I don’t know how you would know.”
Garrett rubs his face. "This is exhausting. Let's not do this right now and instead drink. Tomorrow we can talk about the fact you have a solution to curing abominations. It's been a long day."
