"He was gonna rise today, I think? So he's not yet 'Anointed' or whatever, but I was hoping you could use that and 'nearest to Sunnydale' to get an individual?"

"If he's not risen yet it'll be much harder to pin him down because being the Anointed One is a property of his future, not his present."

"… Was there any present-identifying information, stuff we could use to find him separately?" asks Eva of Norma.

"No. The prophecy was very vague and only said that the Slayer would not know him or hurt him."

"Can we use properties of the future? I'm guessing magic is able to do that but it might be a bit too high-cost…"

"It's way more complicated and needs more stuff."

"But if we find the vampires underground we can stop them before that, can't we?"

"Hopefully? Might be hard to target, with the fact it seems like a ton of them live down there, but if we can find that cave…"

"I'm guessing that's more expensive, magically? I… it could be useful, but it might not be necessary?"

"Making an actual map would, but making a dowsing spell..."

"Dowsing like divination?"

"Yeah, an enchantment that does direction instead of a proper map."

"Oh, like, go through the caves with a direction spell instead of trying to produce a full map? Yeah, that sounds cheaper, probably better."

"I'll need to check these books for specifics but—" She lists a few ingredients she knows will be necessary, like a piece of rough quartz and some herbs.
