"Left? And hope it doesn't split up more?"

"It certainly will."

"I guess we have a while to explore, at least."

"Yes. Do lead the way."

She does, keeping a watch out for anything dangerous.

It is dark and cold and getting darker and colder.

Fortunately Eva has a jacket on! And also – not that she plans on using it since like, dead giveaway, but – a light on her phone!

Without any light they will eventually not be able to see.

… She can cover up the back of her phone and then turn the flashlight on, have just a small bit of light from it.

"It might not be a good idea to continue exploring," Norma whispers.

"Try a different route or just go back?" whispers Eva back.

"Go back, this will probably continue bifurcating a few times and we are likely to be—"

There's a noise from behind Norma.

"—ambushed by a vampire," she sighs, turning around with a spray bottle of holy water and a stake already in hand.

– And does it do anything if Eva shines the light at its eyes?

Lunge. That's what it does. Norma ducks, spraying holy water above her head, and the vampire hisses in pain.

Evelyn also ducks! Then grabs out a stake and her own holy water and checks behind them to make sure it's just the one.

Just the one, yep. And this is not a whole lot of room for manoeuvring.

Well Eva isn't really trying to maneuvre around Norma just now because she doesn't want to be the cause of anyone getting bitten or stabbed unless they're undead!

If there's an opening though, sure, she'll try.

The lack of room is a problem for all of them.

The lack of light, only for the humans.

The vampire tries to go for Eva's throat, and Norma sprays more holy water at it.

Eva dodges anyway and then tries staking it.

(She still has a light! This is part of the reason she used it, probably more advantage than disadvantage!)

She misses the heart.

Norma trips the vampire, though, and steps on its head while it's down.

Retry!

Poof.

"We should definitely go."

"Yeah," she agrees, and then ahead she goes to lead the way.
