Eva feels slightly safer now that there are crosses around. Not that vampires can go out in the sunlight, but still.

They eventually reach the mausoleum, and Norma starts looking around for anything suspicious.

Well Eva was over by this coffin when she got attacked from over that way, so is there anything clear in that direction?

Coffins embedded on a wall.

… And if she opens any of them do they have secret entrances to a cave or something?

Nnnn—yeah. This one does have a secret entrance somewhere.

Norma is in fact still around, right, hasn't been eaten by anything?

She remains uneaten.

"I found something."

"Oh?"

"Coffin has an entrance to somewhere." She moves aside so Norma can come look.

She does. "Okay, this makes sense... and could very well be a trap."

"Yeah," she agrees. "Hopefully not, and if the apocalypse is likely to happen if we do nothing, it might be a good idea to take it anyway."

"Indeed."

"I'll go first?"

"That sounds wisest, yes."

So she does!

And Norma follows her into the dank, dark cave this leads down to. It's linear for a bit, until it reaches a trifurcation.

"… I've got nothing on which way to go," says Eva, quietly.

"Hmm... We could pick one at random and return if we need to."
