He waves at the screen instead.

The ears (the glowing outline of ears) twitch, but it doesn't say anything.

It waves back.

"To be honest it seems kinda cute."

"It's good that it's friendly. That could suggest you have a powerful ally, if you can keep things going in the right direction. I think I'll need to reach out to some old contacts to be of any further use, though."

Nod. "Thanks for your help, anyway."

Is Scott around?

Scott is with the dogs, giving them pets. 

"Hey. How'd it go?"

"Went well!" says Tyler. "Mostly. Apparently I am a kitsune and I have a fox self that I can see in my reflection."

"That sounds helpful. Is your fox self good at math?"

"I haven't asked, but my self is reasonably good at math."

"Right. It just sounds more convenient having a fox self, they're probably smarter than wolf selves. Anyway, is there anything you want to know? In general?"

"What's up with the local animal activity, would be nice."

"That's still sort of a mystery, if you mean the recent stuff. The animal attacks from last year were werewolves, but the papers blamed Kate Argent. People didn't totally buy that, obviously."

"And – so I have heard some rumors about murders and also suspicious deaths and I'm wondering how much of that to attribute to 'you have various were-creatures'."

"It's a kind of high number of serial killers. You can technically blame Kate and Peter on werecreatures, but also on really disturbed people holding grudges for a long time. That's kind of what happened with Matt, he just needed a weapon to use, and I guess guns are too cliche. He used one of those too, later. I think you should blame people who need a support system getting magic powers instead."

"I think a lot of people need a support system and don't have one, so… it seems like this is sort of predictable, if something goes giving out magic powers."

"Yeah. How are you feeling? About the whole fox self thing."

"I knew there was something up with me and I knew there was something up with the world but I wasn't clear on the specifics."

"That's good, right? Now you know."

"It is definitely better," he agrees. "But it might have been – sort of nice to find out that actually I was just being paranoid and there was nothing up with anything."

"There's kind of a lot to worry about, yeah. Most people are safe, if they don't live in Beacon Hills. Werewolf attacks are less common than fatal car crashes."

"I don't suppose you know much about the history of this town, do you?"

"I can tell you what I know, but that's mostly about the Argents and the Hales and their past together. I don't know a lot about the history of the supernatural."

"I don't suppose you know about any murders that happened, oh, about a decade ago…"

"Was it around here?"

"… She disappeared near the warehouse area, yeah."
