"That makes sense. Also please do not violate research ethics those are kind of important." 

"For you I'd be happy to."

That's a little much but it's significantly better than not! 

"Also because that's probably on the list of reasons your boyfriend would torture me!"

"That is true." 

"Your boyfriend would torture me about all the things that would make me before go 'aaaaaagh' but not the things that would make him go 'hm, okay, I guess.' --Me before was like 'well, vampires don't have any particular reason to murder people, and I don't want to murder anybody now, so probably it will be fine' and then it turned out that murder is fun."

"That is.... probably not wrong, yeah." 

"It was a bad decision on his part but now I exist and I don't have a problem with any of it! Except that I don't want to make you sad or make your boyfriend want to torture me unless he'd get off on it."

"He would not. And I'm glad that I'm in a position to cause that to not happen." 

Asher curls up on Sasha's shoulder and starts petting his hair. "I'm doing too much talking."

Sasha finds a place to sit down and pets Asher's hair. "If you want to ask questions instead I can answer them." 

"Man, I don't know. What do you do all day besides being menaced by various supernatural creatures?"

"I go to school, I hang out with my boyfriends, I read, I'm thinking about trying to teach myself German but finding resources is going slowly. Until pretty recently I spent a lot of time tracking gossip so I wouldn't get caught up in the drama but that might count as getting menaced by supernatural creatures since the source of the gossip was Lilith." 

"You have a type, don't you?"

"You and Marlo and Leo are incredibly different from one another on practically every axis and I don't know what you mean." 

"Sasha of the three supernatural boyfriends."

"I maintain that insofar as I have a type it is 'cute smart people who are into me' and any other traits you and my boyfriends happen to have in common are purely coincidental." 

"Well, I guess I shouldn't be presumptuous. Two supernatural boyfriends and one aspiring boyfriend."

"Cute, smart, and into me stands!" 

"Aww, I'm flattered."

"That was the purpose!" 

Asher's hair is so soft. 

Maybe they should make out.

Marlo is still asleep six feet away from them; maybe they should not. 

"We could head back to my place."

"We could. — I should tell Leo first, though, hold up." 

He goes and finds Leo.
