Given the circumstances this entirely a good thing.

Have Scott and Stiles find out something?

Stiles is quite happy to discuss their adventures in stealing borrowing case files. 

Mostly they found out that Kate Argent may have been involved with the Hale fire, and possibly asked their chemistry teacher how to start it.

Good, they got someone drunk and he admitted being involved in the Hale fire and that Kate Argent told them to do it.

"That's good news. Allison's aunt is a psychotic arsonist serial killer."

"I ate dinner with her. She threatened me. She flirted with me."

"Eugh."

"Any chance that despite the current evidence the other Argents might've been involved?"

"Mr. Argent and Kate both seem to hunt together- or they used to, but he doesn't really approve of her. And I'm not sure Mrs. Argent even knows about the supernatural, but he probably can't hide that much from his wife."

"The various hunter-related things are... well, it's probably not impossible to hide that from your wife it doesn't sound likely."

"I could see the organization being aimed to hide things from Allison, so there is that, at least."

"So how about we just get her arrested for arson? That's a pretty good deal, right?"

"Well, yes. Albeit it doesn't solve the problem with the alpha."

"Her family might retaliate?"

"Mr. Argent won't, if she is behind the arson, and he can't connect it to any werewolves. I don't really know what Mrs. Argent would think."

"The alpha is a separate issue, and I don't think the arsonist can really help us with him."

"Given that the alpha is attacking people involved in the arson case, maybe they will stop once everyone is arrested? At minimum a jail would make murder that much harder."

"Usually these kinds of things aren't about rationality. But yes, hopefully the psychotic werewolf stops when we arrest the psychotic arsonists."

"Even if it doesn't. it's pretty obviously the reasonable course of action... I am wondering if we should hear their side of the story first."

"That sounds like a terrible idea."

"If we can catch him, explain what we know about the arson...that could work."

"I was talking about the Argent side of the story."

"They want to kill Scott!"

"Oh, they should be stopped. It's just might happen that they might have information that we would find relevant. Maybe, they had been manipulated into trying to kill Scott by someone unknown to us and that we would've to deal with anyway."

"He's right, Stiles. Do you guys want to approach them, since you're more neutral?"

"Yeah, we don't really have anyone better around. Any estimation how we should approach them? Where in the spectrum of openly, wings on display and mysterious messages left inside their house by portal?"
