" - something else. It was good, trying foods."

"All right. I will do...a stir fry, and milkshakes. Those don't usually go together but they're both tasty."

Nodnod. This sounds good.

"Coming right up. Karen, Michael says he's out of ice cream actually, can you run to the corner store and get some? I'll give you twenty bucks."

"Sure!"

What's up?

She 'fed on him', I don't know why, I think on purpose, she was thinking it was lucky he was there.

She heads down the hallway at a speed that suggests someone strongly motivated to do things for twenty bucks.

Well. Great. Where do you want me? Is it safe for you to be down here with her?

That's why I'm going to the kitchen to start dinner. I think it is right now, though not indefinitely.

OK. - do you really want me to pick up ice cream?

No.

Just checking.

She heads for the kitchen.

She wasn't really thinking about why. She was thinking she'd do it again at some point.

Well. This just keeps getting better and better.

- it's legitimately really terrible that she was sealed away conscious for hundreds of years, but - I just want to raise the possibility that maybe there was a reason for it.

And a reason she's being chased by a fanatical swordsman. I want to talk to him, I want his account of why she's dangerous.

Sensible. We sticking with the waiting for him to come to us plan?

Only for lack of any way to find him.

I should change the code to her window but that'll tip her off that we're worried, probably.

He does it anyway.

Yeah.

...anything I can do to help with stir fry?

You wanna chop veggies? You can chop veggies.

He keeps reading the mummy's mind.

Mummy girl is pacing around her room. She's a little worried, but she's not panicking. If they don't let her out over the course of the next day, then - she'll start deteriorating, yes, but - perhaps they'll understand. Perhaps they'll help her. She hopes they'll help her. They didn't seem too horrified about the first one.

- ah okay that makes sense. Sort of.

I think - I think the not-being-a-mummy is temporary. She started - becoming a mummy - again, so she did whatever she did to Ronnie again.

Ohh. Well. That's - not great.

There's no other way to keep her from being a mummy again?

I have no idea, I didn't even know this was possible at all two days ago. It might be the Hellmouth making it worse, or it might be making it better - the mummies in New York and DC don't seem to be sentient.

Hm.

Where are the mummies in New York and DC from? 'Cause - most mummies aren't human sacrifice mummies. I think.

Yeah, those are Egyptian not Inca. There aren't other Inca mummies we can easily go check on.

Why the stupid swordsman didn't just explain himself - instead of breaking into a place where she was contained -

I dunno. Maybe he's some - ancient immortal guardian person who hasn't gotten out as much as most of the ancient immortals around here have. Do we even know whether he speaks English?
