She is sitting in the library, studying. It's her most common pastime, by hours; spending time with her sister is more enjoyable but Jaromira prefers to socialize more broadly and Katarzyna would only get in the way. This is better on net; the two of them share a room, so it isn't as though her sister's time is entirely hogged by the other girls who call this boarding school "home." Or at least "prison." Katarzyna doesn't mind it, though; the school library is excellent, and basic manners and care for the books has endeared her to the librarian to a sufficient degree to lubricate the interlibrary loans process when there's something she wants to read that they don't have.
"If Jaromira starscapes she's going to have so much fun with that kind of thing."
"She can have a little stand where she sells things downtown."
"It will be adorable."
"She can do art fairs too!"
"She will be mildly put out that thaumosexuality makes it harder to use this ability to flirt extravagantly."
"I imagine it's possible to do it even so, but maybe less fun."
"I'm sure she'll figure something out if it comes up."
They are waved back down to earth. Isabella brushes wingtips with Katarzyna as she swoops around.
Katarzyna hasn't bought new stardarters yet so she'll have to use the outdated ones for now.
Plink plink plink.
Eventually club ends and girls disperse.
"Do you want to do something while my absence from school grounds is semi-licit?"
"Have something in mind?"
"I have several possibilities in mind depending on your preferences. How do you feel about museums?"
"I like museums by and large! If your museum of choice is, I don't know, some kind of war museum displaying principally various models of gun, that might not be entertaining."
Snort. "No. I was thinking more along the lines of the Arizona Science Center."
"That sounds lovely."
Katarzyna totally knows which way the science center is from there, having looked it up. She takes off.
And Isabella chases her.
Eeeee air chasing everything about being a magical girl is great.
And then they land in front of the museum and Katarzyna pays their admission.
"I've been here before but it was years ago."
"I usually come every few months or so."
"Do the exhibits change that much?"
"No, I just like it. Often I simply read books. Father bought me a membership, so individual visits don't trade off against anything."
