Raizume smiles at him and lets him be. Plus, she really should finish off this map.

-- which doesn't take long. She passes it on to Naruto.

"Think you can go above and beyond with this?"

He snickers. "Oh, just you wait. I'll even put drawings for Sasuke!"

"When you're done I'll make a few copies, so we all can have one."

"That's smart!" He works, tongue stuck out from between his teeth, for the next while, zoning out some as he hyper-focuses.

Sasuke leans back a bit and realizes he has no idea what to do while he waits. Or how to talk to Rai really.

He doesn't need to talk! Raizume decides to take this opportunity to sharpen her kunai. She doesn't actually use them a whole lot, but it pays to keep them sharp.

He'll attend to his tools a bit, too, but he did that this morning, so after a few minutes he'll get up to wander around the inside of the temple.

Naruto does finish eventually, with a loud "Hah!"

"Awesome. Want me to show you have to copy them? It's a really easy technique. If you can even really call it that."

"Sure!"

To be safe, she takes out another piece of inked paper -- this one with a more artistic interpretation of Klaus that she had sketched out a few days ago -- and a blank one.

She demonstrates the technique. She explains everything clearly and somewhat slowly. There's no rush and learning this will be really valuable.

Naruto nods seriously, focuses very intently on the papers as he slowly and carefully does the technique...

Setting the target paper on fire.

She laughs and quickly put it out.

"Okay, this time with a little less chakra. A trickle, not the floodgates."

She makes a new copy of the picture and hands it to him.

Nothing happens. There might be a bit of smudging?

"Hmm. How are you managing your chakra?"

"I'm thinking what I wanna do and whether I need a bunch or a little?"

"It's a little more thoughtful than that, because it's so delicate. Try again, and this time add a little more chakra. And if that doesn't work, keep adding more. A little bit at a time."

"Alright."

It slowly smolders this time, then turns entirely black the next time, then turns into tiny paper flakes.

Naruto's getting frustrated.

"Could be you just have entirely too much chakra. Like trying to fill a teacup with a Water Dragon."

"Maybe? I was trying to make as small of changes as I could..."

"I think you could manage it. But that will take time and a lot of patience. You're more of a powerhouse. If I need something big and impressive, I'd go to you."

"Heh. Thanks! You're, like, more sharp? Like a really stabby thing, I think."

She laughs.

"In another life maybe I'd be a very sharp dagger."

"You'd make a great dagger! You'd have, like, a wolf-head handle and teeth as the guard."

"That sounds awesome. I'd obviously be poison too."

Werewolves and hybrids were venomous, she kind of missed it.
