The town of Leopard Hill stands with its gates open and its guards ready to close them if anything happens, which it probably won't. Sesat might be at war but this town is far from Azan. With all that territory in the way it's probably safe to go run errands outside of town. Right?
“What? Oh, yeah. Sorry, I didn’t meant to make you think you had to stay.”
They might be spying on her to see where she goes if she's allowed to go somewhere. Hm. She doesn't want to lead them back into town but on the other hand she doesn't have a better place to go yet.
Nadi is going to continue along the road anyway, since spying on the Sesati girl isn’t something that’s even occured to her.
Past some trees the town comes into view. The gates are closed. The town seems not to be open to union with Azan.
Maybe they’ll let her in if she explains that she’s a medic?
No, they will definitely not.
Well, that’s a shame. She’s going to go look somewhere else now.
There are lots of somewhere elses! If she doesn't want to examine the woods any more then there are some fields and some farmhouses.
Yeah, that seems like a good idea. She's not going to go poking around in someone's fields without asking first, though, so farmhouses it is.
At the nearest farmhouse something heavy is holding the door shut and no one is interested in talking.
“Good day, sir, I’m a medic and I was hoping you could help me find a local source of herbs...?”
“There’s no sort, it’s just...”
“It doesn’t matter. Do you know anything about local herbs?”
“Do you know anyone who would?”
“Are you just saying that because I’m Azani?”
Sigh. “Okay.” It’s getting late anyway. Time to report her findings or lack thereof. Go looking somewhere else in the morning.
