The fact that Cia is tiny compared to the corpses proves a problem. And ey goes to poke around and see if ey can figure something out for beds instead.

Anders and Ilska are done quickly, and as soon as the bodies are collected, Anders sets the pile aflame.

"Right. Now that's done, let's organise a few spaces for treatment." Anders starts piling timber, rocks, whatever he can find to create beds.

Cia's already started on that, and soon they have something set up. "Not perfect, but I guess it'll do?"

"It just needs to be kept clean and safe, that's all we need. I should probably get word to Lirene, she can start sending us patients."

"I think between the three of us we've got that covered..."

Ilska hums something that might be agreement.

"Unfortunately true," Anders chuckles, looking very fondly at the two. "More scrapes on us than anyone."

Cia giggles. "Good thing you're a healer and I'm gonna be one!"

"A brilliant healer. You're training with the best, of course." Anders smiles very fondly at Cia. "For now, word to Lirene that you both are safe and I am open for patients, and word- er, I'll look into the matter that was bringing me here."

"What do you want us-?" Cia's cut off by a wide yawn.

Ilska makes a low, concerned noise.

"...right. Sleep. That is a need." Anders swings off his pack, taking out his bedroll and blanket. "All right, you two. Let's find somewhere in here for a bedroom."

He opens up one of the adjoining doorways. "Hmm. Too small. Better used for storage."
He opens up the next one. "This will do."

It's big enough to comfortably fit a bed, and has a fireplace on one wall. "Here we go." Anders lays out the bedroll and blanket.

"You need sleep too."

"I've got wards to set, and then I'll get some sleep. You just make sure this is comfy enough for you and Ilska, yeah?"

Cia doesn't look entirely content with that, but nods, and goes about doing that.

Anders closes the big doors at the edge of the space, and sets wards along the edge. He then, with some creative application of elemental and force magic, washes the floor clean. He frowns at the makeshift beds, making a note to try and find something better. Now he should head back to the Gallows and try and find Karl, or find a way in and just start letting people out and-

"Agh!" Anders presses his palms against his head. "Justice, we can't do things that way. We will free every last one of them but if we're not careful, we'll be killed before we can do anything." There's no reply, never is, but Anders can feel the spirit's energy boiling inside him.

Ilska waits until Cia's asleep (which doesn't take long), before sliding after Anders. She catches the tail end of his argument with Justice but doesn't vocalise anything, waits for Anders to notice her.

Anders clenches a fist at the barrage of power, biting down as he tries to push Justice back. He is not in control, he is just your passenger, he is not who you are-

A slight movement has him nearly jump out of his skin. He whirls around, and breathes a sigh of relief at seeing Ilska. “Hey, Sorry, didn’t hear you.” He then frowns, looking her up and down. “You look tired. Why don’t you go and sleep?”

Ilska shrugs and steps closer to Anders, tilting she head slightly.

“Something wrong?” Anders asks gently.

Ilska shakes her head. (It's not quite a lie, but it isn't the truth either.)

She steps closer again, well within arms reach of Anders, and then slips to her knees, looking up at Anders through her eye-lashes, coy, and inviting. (And scared, and not-wanting but so well hidden.)

Anders' heart stops when Ilska sinks to her knees, and he deliberately takes a step away from her. How many times had he heard of mages doing that for Templars in the hope it would stop future abuse? How many babies had he delivered because of that? Even Justice seethed with rage at the idea that Ilska would ever have to-

He kneels down, facing Ilska but keeping just out of her reach. "You will never have to do that again. Ever. I promise."

Ilska shudders slightly when Anders moves away, seems confused, even through her relief, doesn't know how to take this.

She licks her lips. "I-" she manages, voice rough. "Please- don't-"

"You don't owe me a thing. You and Cia don't owe me anything. I want to help, and I can. That's all."

Ilska shakes her head, because that isn't what she meant-

"Leave. Don't- make me. Please."
