Also the dreamshaper wasn't in one of the successful communication experiments, but he has managed to get dreamshaping-healing, which is rare and difficult and almost certainly a prerequisite for resurrection.

Ooooh. How does that work?

It's really really hard to get dreamshaped magic items that have permanent effects on the world around them that were acheived solely by magic. Medical magic items that do things like cauterize or stitch wounds are fairly simple, and emergency first-aid items that temporarily heal wounds entirely likewise, but actually getting the tissues to knit together correctly in a way that sticks is really really hard.

He's impressed it's possible. How is it done?

Idaia is really not sure that she is comfortable raising her kid in this town and teaching her that she could trust her neighbors, because, like, forgiveness aside it has been demonstrated that they are not sufficiently trustworthy. And she's not sure "you can't trust your neighbors" wouldn't be at least as damaging in the long run.
