Edie was perusing the latest correspondence from her fork. She still should have been paying enough attention to realize that the door didn't go where it ought before it swung shut and she couldn't sense anyone else anymore, but she wasn't.
After opening and closing the door a couple times to make sure she hadn't just been abducted somehow, she looks around.
And after a few minutes, she says, "Okay, I think I've got it."
He won't notice any difference unless he speaks English to have heard her previous speech as that. Cam will, though.
"Good, so I can still do that. I guess I just need to wait for the engineers to take a break, then."
"Nechar got me what ought to be a really well designed telepathy shield thing, if you want to grab some languages I think I can let you do that without worrying about anything else."
"I have lots, comes of being a daeva, your demon alt and her sister have probably got a good selection too."

She sends a computer message.
My new alt has confirmed ability to copy languages and wants to mine my brain for them, Emma tells her fiance.
Probably figure out a nicer chip translator interface, he's been meaning to do that anyway.
Well, we'll see what happens. After I go downstairs and be her Rosetta Stone.
