She conjures a data-storage device and plugs it into her computer.
She examines the results.
"...As expected you have no daeva. As not expected your Dwarves and only your Dwarves have an afterlife."
"Wasn't much we could do about it. It would change the calculus if we needed to do various stupid things but we can instead just close the door and wait until we have a less horrible solution."
"Yeah. So--" she cuts off and peers at the screen. "Huh. I don't actually recognize this alphabet."
