The trial of VALIA WAIN, SELECT of IOMEDAE has recently concluded, and she has been declared INNOCENT on all charges, for in truth she had NO INTENT of inspiring men to MURDER, despite her ANARCHIC WORDS. In her heart she sought to follow the DECREES of the QUEEN, and she intended NONE of what occurred.

But how can it be that a SELECT of IOMEDAE believed it LAWFUL to cry out for REBELLION and MURDER? The TRUTH of this was REVEALED in the TRIAL, though it was not remarked upon at the time, by the grace of the QUEEN'S CHOSEN PROSECUTOR. Hear now his words, exactly as he spoke them:

"Valia Wain sought the advice of a young SONG-SORCERESS and a young CHAOTIC PRIESTESS of CALISTRIA, in drafting her call for the men of Cheliax to MURDER all those she named as their ENEMIES."

This SONG-SORCERESS and CALISTRIAN WHORE are the true ARCHITECTS of the RIOTS. For though SELECT WAIN sought to LAWFULLY OBEY the QUEEN, those VILE ANARCHISTS turned her from her purpose and sought to inflame REBELLION in the hearts of the people of WESTCROWN. It is said that CALISTRIA is called the UNQUENCHABLE FIRE, and so the FIRES OF ARSON came to Westcrown and CONSUMED the city in their blazes. It is said also that SONG-SORCERERS can BEWITCH the hearts of men and make LIES appear as TRUTH, even to the strongest MAGIC, and so the LIES of the SORCERESS poisoned the words of the SELECT.

I call now for the guard to ARREST the SONG-SORCERESS and CALISTRIAN WHORE at once. For they are surely GUILTY of INCITEMENT TO MURDER, GUILTY of leading MOBS against the NOBILITY, and GUILTY of TREASON against our QUEEN. If they cannot be found, let all SONG-SORCERESSES and CALISTRIAN WHORES be brought in on SUSPICION of these crimes, and questioned until the TRUE CULPRITS are found. We shall have neither PEACE nor JUSTICE until they HANG.
