"How non-catastrophic." He squints at the computer. "Hello. I am Thor."

"Well, stabbing him hasn't gotten us anywhere."

"They have a magic dog. And a ship that can go anywhere in the universe in five days, I don't know if that improves usefully on local FTL options because I don't know if yours are like mine or if we'll need to go anywhere outside the galaxy without me chaperoning."

"Are they going to recognize me and object, do I need an introduction," Loki says to Thor.

"I didn't know of any name other than Loki."

"Rats, would have been good to know."

Loki looks at a street view image of Tempe, Arizona, and then they are there.

It doesn't look very postapocalyptic; that's why he picked it. There are a lot of cars on the shoulder of the road and a nearby storefront window is smashed but otherwise it could be a city not in the middle of a mass disaster.

The Asgardians are sitting on the balcony of their hotel, staring out at the city. Some of them rise for Thor.

"Hello!" she calls. "I have healing magic and want to borrow an Allspeak wand, in that order."
