She doesn't interrupt. She seems to be in a slightly better mood, actually.

He brings out a banana and an apple.

She doesn't have a strong reaction to either.

"Humans see colors. Color blood is red, color apple is red, color peach is red here, color grapefruit is red here. Banana color is yellow and brown, Scott is brown, this is brown," he raps on the wooden table. 

"Kobold see colors?"

She nods.

"See colors, feel texture. Peach is fuzzy, apple and banana are smooth."

"Okay."

"Fire feel hot, ice feel cold."

He heads to the freezer, retrieving ice to demonstrate.

This, she blinks at.

"Ice is more cold water. Kobold understand ice? We can make ice with that. That is freezer, freezing is word for water will be, becomes, ice."

"Huh."

She teleports an ice cube from the freezer to her hand to examine and then crunch between her teeth. "Huh."

"Ice is hard, fruit is soft. Fruit is no difficult eat, is easy, is soft eat. Ice is hard eat."

She looks amused. "Ice is maybe difficult human eat, is no difficult kobold eat." She taps the side of her head where her jaw muscles are.

"If kobold ask why, Scott say because answer. If kobold ask why human no eat ice, Scott say because ice is too hard for humans."

She nods. "Kobolds," she taps her jaw muscle again, "because kobolds eat hard food."

"Yes. If kobolds can eat hard food, they eat hard food, because they can eat hard food. I sleep if I am tired, I sleep because I am tired."

Nod.

"Hot and cold are opposites. Hard and soft are opposites. Here and there are opposites. Understand?"

"Mmhmm."

"Happy and sad are opposites, good and bad are opposites. Big and small are more and less size. Size is like this."

He gestures with his hands, indicating a small space between them and then larger ones.

"Peach is small, home is big."

Nod. "Human is more big kobold."

"Human is bigger than kobold, kobold eats harder food than human. Kobolds have stronger teeth, humans have weaker."

"Stronger? Teeth?"

He picks up the peach.

"Weak."

He picks up the chair.

"Strong."
