The Vaesteri family was among Milirevi's most important families. For generations, they've put their sorcerous prowess at service of the city and in the name of the Daliath religion. Their contributions were so notorious that they earned multiple awards and titles for it. Including the Dal-kanan-Dal (the blessing that multiples blessings), an honor granted to a single digit of families around the known worlds. The family ran a temple that was large, beautiful, a historical landmark, and a shelter to those in need.
-he's briefly confused by being paid, has to remind himself that this is different here, and makes himself accept it. Being herded back into the van is easier, he knows how to follow instructions.
Feliaris finds him when they are back.
"Hi! Parafi, how was your day?"
"More library?" He offers. "You can use the rest of the facilities if you want to."
Parafi looks down, smiles a little shyly. "I think you're doing a lot of things right?"
He's quiet for a moment, and then his smile broadens a little. He's sure that it's just a turn of phrase, but he's never had a friend before, and he finds he likes the idea.
"You're welcome?" (That's what you say, right?)
-That is probably a silly question, based on the way Parafi's face lights up.
He noticeably makes it dim some. "I- please? If that's- okay?"
"I like...learning." It's a careful admittance, a little wary, a little hesitant, but it's something.
In that case Feliaris will pull out some of his old notes for Parafi to take a look at.
And Parafi is eager to look at it! His hesitation vanishing once he starts reading over it.
The notes are intuitively organized and this set mainly focus/dissects two rituals: an alarm spell and an air quality spells. The notes details how they work and their elements in common and how to design a third ritual combining them.
He's shy in the face of praise, but it does seem to encourage him to work harder.
