"Oh, we wear these for her." He touches the small wooden disc he wears on a necklace. Everyone around here except Valna, and no one where he first landed, has one. "So she can keep an eye on things and draw power from us."

"On Golarion gods don't draw power from their followers like that, what is it like?"

"Tiring. Where do your gods get their power?"

"I'm not actually sure. There's an artifact on an island on my planet that can just turn a normal person into a god, though most people die trying, and I think it would probably have been written down somewhere, if it was not expected to keep functioning forever..."

"Huh."

"I think if I had to guess I'd say they're the kind of thing that generates power and not the kind that needs to get it from somewhere else but I wouldn't in fact know. Is wearing the symbol expected of anyone who resides here?"

"It’s just what our people do. I'm not demanding you change your god. Or have one at all." This last thing is something of an aside to Valna.

"I don't think I'm actually religiously prohibited from - becoming tired - as, uh, a rent payment, but it would be slightly awkward."

"I don’t honestly see the point in having two gods, you’re not going to be twice as safe from worse ones."

"It's pretty common on Golarion to regularly pray to multiple gods. I think most people have a favorite, but the gods specialize in different things."

"Your gods don't even sound much like gods, honestly."

"Is there something else they sound like?"

"Not really. They just sound weird."

"Well, your gods sound kind of weird to me too. What does Forth do with the power, or does She just take enough to keep existing?"

"She sometimes heals someone and of course she keeps us safe from other gods."

"Is She going to be all right with it if I take up a healing role here?"

"I expect so. Forth is good to us."

"I'm glad to hear it, healing is some of my most useful magic. I can heal everybody of injury in a thirty foot radius around me, twice a day, and I'm worse at disease but can still do something about it."

"That's very useful. Are you thinking you might want to go laps through Acarthen or set up somewhere and stay there?"

"If it makes more sense for me to move around on some sort of circuit I don't mind it but my natural inclination would be to stay somewhere."
