Hear now what has transpired during the second meeting of the Committee on Exterminating Diabolism, as reported by a scribe who was present in that very room!

The membership of the Committee on Exterminating Diabolism is as reported in yesterday's edition of this very pamphlet, with the following changes: Delegate Aspex Ibarra, as reported in our pamphlet on this morning's proceedings, was removed for the crimes of arson and murder against the children of Pharasmins; Delegate Blanxart i Thrune, ancestor to Abrogail Thrune II, was removed for diabolism and consorting with devils; Delegate del Mar, as reported below, was removed for concealing her demonic nature; and Count Espino y Aspramunt, friend to Songbird Rivera, lately returned from Heaven, where he learned of good governance in the Summerlands of Erastil, was added to the committee.

The committee first dealt with the crimes of Delegate del Mar. Although the committee generously offered her the chance to prove her innocence under an Abadar's Truthtelling, a provision wholly unnecessary given her clear guilt, she refused to submit to such questioning. Another priest of Iomedae was summoned, who had fought valiantly with the armies of Lastwall at the Worldwound, who inspected her with his magic and revealed that she was concealing not only Evil but Chaos, and furthermore that she was no human, but rather a vile demon.

The committee next heard the confession of Delegate Thea Irori, who denounced herself as a murderer, guilty of killing both an innocent child and a vagrant with no just cause. She admitted as well that she had come to the convention on behalf of the Cult of Eiseth, worshippers of the wife to Asmodeus himself, which seeks to corrupt Cheliax to infernal rule.

The Queen was informed of all the crimes here enumerated, and have done nothing! She has betrayed our people! The Queen may pardon them, but we will not!

The committee finally declared that any with information on other Evildoers ought report it to the temple of Blessed Iomedae, where her priests will hear it and ensure it is properly dealt with. If the Queen does not avenge the wrongs reported, Iomedae's priests shall carry the sentence of death instead.

Oh fuck.  She runs back to the monastery as fast she can.  They need to seal the main door and send out someone to tell Thea to use the secret entrance.  And warn their tenants the door will be closed.

(On the Committee of Diabolism) It is Certain and Well Known to All that Many Wise Delegates have Discussed the Glorious Deeds of Eriape fighting the Vile Servants of Asmodeus. It is surely for that Reason that the True and Virtuous Committee on Diabolism has Not Condemned Lady Eriape their gracious Ally.

Mistress of Blades Tomàs predicted there would be unrest tonight, and ordered Paula to hide in the monastery as quickly as possible once she was done with the convention. Tomàs is standing with the Hellknights, who expect an attack as likely as not.

She paused to grab an armful of pamphlets from the Galtan cafe, but didn't read them until she arrived.

Oh no.

Thea and Dia get word and make it back to the monastery as early as possible.  Paula is there and informs them Tomàs will be with the Hellknights she no need to send word.  She sends Dia to get Nuria and another older sister to get three (non-delegate) tenants she knows work nearby.  That still leaves the sortition delegate, Margarida, another (non-delegate) tenant, and a sister, Gabi, who was practicing ‘urban stealth’ (spying on people disguised as a street urchin) on a later shift, unaccounted for when she seals the door to the Abbey proper within the crematorium.

She waits by the door for some time.  If a mob actually starts to be successful in breaching it, she can have the sister retreat out the secret entrance.  And if she hears a familiar voice begging to be let in she can think about the risk to opening it.  Eventually she hears what sounds like a mob at one point, but apparently the door blends into the wall well enough they don’t even know to try breaching it.  She doesn’t hear any voices begging to be let in.  The archmage’s announcement is a relief.
