They go.

"Yeah, we wouldn't want to cut into your reading time."

"He has plenty of that. Broody, reading and writing in his diary. Classic romantic hero pastimes."

"Is he a classic romantic hero? I don't see any ruffles, or carriages."

"My other ride is a carriage."

"The ruffles are there but carefully hidden. Trust me on this."

"I don't know, babe, maybe we should check. You could be defending his honor."

"Maybe they're just very subtle ruffles. It's not like any good classic romantic heroes look totally out of place. He has to blend in to really stand out."

She laughs.

"Theres no subtlety about it. There's a portion of the attic that is just full of old clothes. Mostly from the eighteen-hundreds but there's a couple there from the fifteen-hundreds and just. It's a ruffle palooza. He's got so much choice there."

Harley and Scott disembark first, thanking Stefan for the ride.

...which just leaves Matt and Juliet.

She leans close against him.

"So that wasn't awful."

“It was fun, and exhausting. I’m ready for it to be just us again.”

She kisses him.

"Nobody is ever going to cut into my Matt time. It's a universal law."

Kissing it is!

Stefan resists the urge to roll his eyes and turns the music up instead.

Juliet ignores him and his music.

Matt kisses are much more important.

Matt agrees wholeheartedly.

Matt doesn't seem inclined to disengage when they get to his house.

"Unless you plan on coming home with me, this is probably your stop."

"Maybe I should. They won't miss me."

"Maybe I should just keep you then."

One more kiss for the road.

”I should go. We can pick this up another time.”
