A fox briskly trots down an empty road, looking to all the world like it knows precisely where it's going.
Eee.
It's kind of cute how charmed he is by her adorable fox form. Is he going to be terribly disappointed when she's human again and he doesn't have an adorable fox around for snuggles? Is she going to be terribly disappointed when she can no longer snuggle people adorably? She doesn't know. But at least she has adorable snuggles now. Snuggle snuggle.
Isfain gives no sign of being worried about these questions. He just pets the soft fox.
The soft fox is okay with this.
Eventually, though, she gets bored. She noses the book and gives a little yip.
"Sure, all right."
He vanishes the magical theory book, and appears a book of humorous poems in its place.
He earns an affectionate nose for his trouble, and then she carefully opens the book and begins reading. It's a bit of a trial, without opposable thumbs, but she manages.
... She starts giggling soon enough. Little adorable fox giggles.
The adorable fox certainly thinks so!
Poetry usually isn't her kind of thing, but there's something sort of charming about reading humorous poems right now? It invites her into a place of otherworldly silliness, or something. Where all the troubles in the world are either far away or can be carefully nestled into stanzas where they won't hurt anyone. Maybe she's just so starved for reading that she'd read literally anything put in front of her. Either way, this is nice.
Yes, excellent.
She requests another meal eventually, and then another book, and she gets up to go get water, but they can just sort of. Comfortably snuggle. All day.
Isfain also has to get up once or twice, but yep, snuggling all day seems to be where it's at.
A little while after sunset, he makes a thoughtful 'hm' noise. "I should probably go sleep in my own actual bed at some point."
She makes an amused little snort and nods agreeably. He may have an affectionate nose, though, for his trouble.
He giggles and hugs her. "You're very charming and I like you very much," he says. "Goodnight."
D'aww.
She'll go to bed eventually, but she thinks for right now she wants to explore the house. She's been cuddled in bed all day, she has a lot of energy, let's do something with it.
Gosh! Yes, that's actually really impressive. And she likes the fact that it's a tower more than she'd expected to, it's all... tidily tower shaped. She shall sniff everything in here, it is her Foxly Duty.
Hmm. Yes, this is true. She finishes off a room, conducts further business outside, and then heads to her fox box to sleep. She can investigate more later. For now: zzzzz...
She wakes up warm and dry and safe and it's glorious. She takes a little while to sprawl out and think about this. While she hadn't precisely taken any of them for granted when she was a human, nothing quite introduces someone to how nice their life was like, well. Suddenly being a very fragile fox that has to scrape and hunt to survive.
Eventually she decides that even if she's not super hungry, she should eat something, so she gets to her feet and goes looking for Isfain.
Isfain can be found sprawled on a couch in one of his lovely well-decorated sitting rooms, around a corner from her guest room, reading another magical theory book.
