"You can go back and forth in space, right? Can you up into space?"

"Well I can probably teleport up, but then I'm going to start falling down again. Which I could, come to think. Though I'd rather not try right now, healing time might be a while."

"Could you go across? Between spaces?"

"Spaces?"

"Universes."

"...I don't think so. And I've never heard of anyone doing it. Our ancestors came here from other worlds and I don't remember hearing of some who went back, though of course maybe some did and then no one heard of them.

...This is about you finding a way home?"

"Not immediately. But eventually, yeah."

"So since this isn't exactly the kind of thing I've done before, what I'd want to do is take a bunch of time, if possible with some other mages, and see what we can find - reaching out, scrying, trying to teleport various ways, trying to set up a travel point, seeing if there's anything we can read off you that might help... Could be there's nothing to be done, at least by our magic, could be there is but we don't find it, but I think that'd be the way to try."

"If it's going to take a while, better to start now, right?"

"Well now I'm kind of the only mage here and we had a plan going on that'd interrupt things if we start. Which might also result in having another mage."

"You can't multi-task?"

"Well I can certainly start what I can. Can't like, sit down with the whole project and such like."

"That's all right."

Coordination over a bunch of projects and people isn't really a thing she's had much experience and the like in.

She somewhat looks at Genea.

She notices, acknowledges.

"Now that we're here, what are we looking at with plans forward?"

"First we should get a sense of what the forces in the area look like. Concentrated settlements, outlying support zones, potential allies."

"Settlements should usually be on the map. Support zones?"

"Where they gather the materials to support the settlements. Scrapyards, or -"

"Farms. Humans had farms."

"Those."

"Farms are around towns. There might be a few smaller places near mines and the like.

Scrapyards?"

"When machines get junked, other machines gather up the spare metal into big piles. Scrapyards."

...wow

...yeah

"Well, we do not have those. Farms we have."

"Yeah. So when we can see how the whole network behaves we can find the pressure points, and that will inform tactics going forwards."
