"Mmhmm."

Kakashi stretches and says, "You two relax. Yamato and I will keep watch."

"Thank you."

"Maa, no trouble at all."

And then to bed.

They're allowed to sleep in the next morning, until Yamato comes over and knocks on their doors.

Ranko is an early riser and opens the door after the first knock.

"Lord Hokage would like to speak with the two of you in an hour."

"Okay."

She goes to rouse Tetsuma.

Tetsuma will be roused fairly easily.

He bounces to his feet and around the room some. "Where's breakfast?"

"Downstairs," Yamato answers. "We can go down, or I can bring some up."

Cute kid.

"I'm fine either way."

"I wanna go down."

"Alright," says Yamato, and downstairs they can go.

Breakfast is mostly room-temperature foods, but still good. Tetsuma bounces the whole way down, clearly quivering with energy now that it's sunk in that his latest escape attempt worked. His eyes go a bit wide when he sees all the food, and after a hesitant glance at the adults loads up a massive amount onto his plate, clearly determined to try some of everything.

Ranko sees nothing strange about this and also takes more food than strictly normal for someone her age and size.

Yamato and Kakashi also seem to be enjoying the free food.

After they've eaten, Yamato says, "You two should probably go ahead and get ready to see the Hokage."

"Are there spare clothes to change into?"

"Yeah, I got a change in your approximate sizes," Yamato says. "They're fairly plain, but they'll do for now."

"Sounds fine."

He leads them back to the room and shows them the clothing. It's the same dark blue that Yamato and Kakashi are wearing under their vests.

"Does dark blue have some kinda meaning here?"

"It's mostly just a common color for Konoha ninja to wear."

"Why?"

"Easy to clean, looks professional, and blends in well."

"I guess that makes sense." She takes the clothes and goes to change.

As does Tetsuma. (It's really similar to his existing outfit, just blue instead of black.)

Once they're done, Yamato says, "I can take you to the tower, now."

"Okay!"

Yamato leads them all the way to the door, then breaks off once they're in.
