"Children are often cruel."

"Trust me, I know."

He nods. "So, lunch?"

"Yeah."

Lunch is a dumpling place, that will in fact let her flirt for a discount.

Excellent! She's good at it.

She gets a pretty decent discount for her efforts!

The food's good, too. 

Wonderful.

After lunch, Yamato glances up, and says, "They should be done with Tetsuma by now, if you want to go back."

"Definitely."

So he leads her back towards the Hokage Tower, and, after talking with someone behind a desk, into a lounge where Tetsuma's fidgeting under the watchful eyes of several ninja.

Ranko immediately sits down beside him and smiles at him.

"Ms Ranko!" He bounces happily. "Can we go somewhere now? It's boring here."

"Sure! They have street plays, want to go watch?"

"What do they do?"

"I haven't seen very many yet, but the ones I did see were mostly comedy."

"What's comedy?"

"--Stuff that's supposed to make people laugh."

"That's allowed?"

"It's definitely allowed."

"Okay."

"What else did Danzo say wasn't allowed?"

"Um. Goofing off, running around, talking back, running away, making trouble - 'specially if I'm supposed to be learning, turning paper into stuff, practicing outside of official practice, hitting my minder, biting anyone... Lots of stuff."

"Biting people is usually bad but the rest of that stuff is fine."

"Though you still might want to avoid using your - special abilities - in public, it might not be safe if people figure out your bloodline," Yamato says to Tetsuma, who nods.
